Job Description

The Department of Psychology at Knox College invites applications for a one-year position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology beginning September 1, 2023.

Teaching responsibilities include two classes per each of three 10-week terms (Fall, Winter, Spring) that include Introduction to Psychology with Lab, upper level courses in the candidate’s area of expertise, and supervision of undergraduate research projects; it may also include a lower level course in the candidate’s area of expertise and introduction to statistics.

Candidates interested in partial-year, term appointments will be considered as well.

Visiting faculty members at Knox are included in all aspects of the intellectual life of the College. The visiting faculty member will have a modest conference travel budget and access to research resources. Pay is commensurate with first-year, entry-level faculty positions.

  • Ph.D. preferred at the time of the appointment, but exceptional ABD candidates will be considered
