
The Greenwood School of Music seeks a qualified clarinetist to build and sustain a successful clarinet studio and play an active role in the recruitment and retention of undergraduate and graduate clarinet majors, as well as collaborate with colleagues in the advancement of the woodwind area. The candidate will be expected to teach applied lessons in clarinet including a weekly studio class, as well as coach chamber groups. The teaching assignment will also include the clarinet portion of the single-reed techniques course. The successful candidate will rehearse weekly and perform as clarinetist with Bluestem Blaze, the faculty woodwind quintet. Additional teaching assignments may be in general education or in an area of the candidate’s expertise.
Master’s degree and applied teaching experience at the university level required. Doctorate or equivalent professional experience preferred. Experience in woodwind chamber music performance desired.
