Job Description

The Department of Biology at Ursinus College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor in Biology to begin in Fall 2022 for the 2022-23 academic year. The Department seeks an individual who is trained in neurobiology and can contribute to courses in neuroscience as well as biology.

Responsibilities

We specifically invite applicants whose expertise is in the field of cellular neurobiology. Responsibilities will include teaching electives that contribute to the biology and neuroscience major, Cell Biology (BIO-102) and Genetics (BIO-201) lecture or laboratory, and possibly a research methods course in Neuroscience (NEUR 200). Applicants may conduct research with students in neurobiology as part of the position, but this is not required.

Qualifications

A Ph.D. and teaching experience is required. Post-doctoral experience is a plus.
