Job Description

The Department of Plant Biology, Ecology and Evolution at Oklahoma State University (http://plantbio.okstate.edu) is seeking a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor for the 2024-2025 academic year. This is a non-tenure track, benefit-eligible, nine-month teaching position for one year. Teaching responsibilities may include introductory courses in Biology and Plant Biology, courses in Genetics, Plant Physiology, or Ecology, or specialized courses in the successful candidate's area of expertise. The course load will be three courses per semester. Courses taught will contribute to the Department's mission to provide high quality and relevant instruction to majors in Plant Biology, Biology, and other STEM fields, as well as general education to students in all fields.

Tulsa and Oklahoma City, two major metropolitan areas, offer numerous shopping, dining, and cultural activities within approximately 60 miles of Stillwater.

Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Biology, Plant Biology, or closely related field is required. Teaching experience is preferred.
