SchedulePart-Time, working primarily 20 hours per week varying weekday hours based on visit schedule between 8:30-6:30pm.

Become part of our team helping to re-build family relationships and support reunification efforts for children in foster care! The Visitation Coordinator works in a home-like setting called The Comfort Cottage which promotes a safe and nurturing environment between the children and their families.
The Visitation Coordinator will have the opportunity to participate in professional development and learn Trust Based Relational Invention so to engage with families using the innovative and evidenced based practice of TBRI®.
of Position: General duties include coordination and monitoring of the family visitation schedule at the Comfort Cottage facilitating initial/ongoing contact with families and agencies to establish a visitation routine. The Visitation Coordinator will also assist with foster child placement needs and coordinate for children awaiting placement. The Visitation Coordinator will also be responsible for managing office-related duties such as phone calls, compliance documentation and scheduling meetings to review cases on a monthly basis with the Visit Coaching supervisor. Professional growth and development are a component of job expectations. Written documentation will be required for agency records.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree required, plus a minimum of three years’ experience working with children in a school, social services or human services setting. Strong engagement skills and organizational skills are a must. Flexibility in scheduling work hours in order to meet the needs of the clients is a requirement of the position. Candidate must have an appreciation, understanding, and support of the Mission of The Salvation Army, being active Salvationist is a plus. Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check.
