As a Vision System / AOI Engineer within the Global Operation Capability team, you will provide hands-on support for inspection automation at Molex sites worldwide. You will develop practical machine-vision approaches that reduce scrap, automate manual inspection, and enable robot guidance, primarily by applying commercially available equipment and systems. You will use your knowledge of optics, lighting, lenses, and inspection logic to propose solutions independently, including AI-enabled approaches for complex visual and appearance inspections.
The GOC Automation Task Force is based in Japan and works in alignment with Global Operations. The team supports urgent, business-critical automation projects at Molex sites worldwide, leveraging Japan’s ecosystem of high-quality equipment and component manufacturers and Molex Japan’s capabilities in precision machining and high-speed assembly.
