This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Virtualization Solution Architect based in India.

This role is designed for a highly experienced infrastructure architect who specializes in designing and delivering enterprise-grade virtualization solutions across complex IT environments.
You will be responsible for translating business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performance virtualization architectures.
The position plays a key role in shaping end-to-end solutions across VMware and Microsoft virtualization stacks, ensuring alignment with managed services standards.
You will lead virtualization migration strategies, from planning and design through execution and validation, minimizing risk and ensuring operational continuity.
A strong focus will be placed on building supportable, repeatable architectures that enable efficient long-term service delivery.
You will collaborate closely with infrastructure, security, networking, and managed services teams to ensure seamless integration and reliability.
This is a senior, client-facing role combining architectural leadership with hands-on technical expertise in enterprise environments.

Accountabilities:

Design and architect enterprise virtualization solutions across VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and SCVMM platforms.
Develop scalable, highly available, and performance-optimized virtualization architectures aligned with managed services standards.
Lead virtualization migration planning and execution, including strategy definition, scheduling, and cutover planning.
Validate post-migration environments to ensure stability, performance, and operational readiness.
Design solutions with a strong focus on long-term supportability, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with managed services teams to ensure smooth service onboarding and operational handover.
Define reference architectures, reusable patterns, and best practices for virtualization deployments.
Integrate virtualization solutions with storage, networking, backup, and security infrastructures.
Ensure solutions comply with customer security, governance, and compliance requirements.
Act as a technical authority during pre-sales, workshops, and delivery engagements.
Produce clear architectural documentation, diagrams, and technical design specifications.
Provide mentorship and escalation support to engineering and delivery teams.

Requirements:

Strong hands-on expertise in VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and SCVMM.
Proven experience designing and executing enterprise virtualization migration projects.
Solid background in managed services or enterprise infrastructure environments.
Experience delivering solutions for enterprise or mid-market customers.
Strong understanding of infrastructure domains including storage, networking, and backup integration.
Excellent architectural documentation and technical communication skills.
Experience with disaster recovery, business continuity, and infrastructure automation (preferred).
VMware or Microsoft certifications are considered a strong advantage.
Strong client-facing and consultative skills, with ability to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Ability to balance strategic architecture design with hands-on technical involvement.
Strong organizational mindset, attention to detail, and structured delivery approach.
