We are a Living Wage Employer, and all our roles will be paid as such where the pay scales are below the Living Wage rate.

Grade 6 - £50,788 - £62,801

Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review

Working 36.5 hours per week

All about the role

  • We are seeking to appoint a highly committed and motivational Virtual School Team Manager.
  • You will be joining us as part of an exciting period of change and development as our service is growing into a new structure and roles.
  • We continually strive for excellence and we welcome someone with innovation and drive to support us on this journey.
  • You will have responsibility for circa. 7 other Virtual School staff to ensure that all work undertaken by your locality 5-16 teams is child focused; raises educational practice; and is timely so as to insure improved outcomes for our young people.
  • Alongside two other Team Managers you will provide management oversight and supervision for your team.
  • In addition to managing a team you will have a strategic role in the development and oversight of key areas of work.
  • The decision related to the areas of strategic oversight across the three team managers will be negotiated after appointment based on the existing skills and experience of the successful candidate.
