12 Hour Night ShiftPlease note that this position is not Remote and does require you to work on campus at Loyola.
Responsible for assisting the nursing staff in the continuous monitoring of patients requiring close observation via remote camera monitoring. Works cooperatively with the nursing staff and other patient health care personnel to maintain a safe environment and ensure optimal patient safety and comfort. This position works under limited supervision and receives direction and guidance from the Manager of Virtual Monitoring.
This Role Will Be Responsible For
Continuous visual alertness without distraction ofa computer screencontaining12-16 active patients
Remain alert to 12-16 active patients at all times while on duty; anticipates, recognizes and addressesharmful behaviors
Monitor patient behaviors and movements via closed circuit camera with pan/tilt/zoom capabilities
Verbally redirect patients over digital 2-way audio device Immediately alerts nursing staff as necessary
Maintaincalm, respectful, empathetic, and professionaltone while verbally communicating with patients, staff, and fellow colleagues
Meet the expectations of nursing staff in order to keep patients safe
Provide detailed shift-to-shift report on patient activityto colleagues and nursing staff
Requirements
Mental capacity to verbally interact with 12-16 active patients in various levels of distress, andmaintaining calm, focused demeanor while on duty
Ability to work12 hour shifts in a 24/7 healthcare environment
Ability to work weekends and holidays, as required
Ability to orally and in writing, report on patient activity, as needed
Basic Computer skillsrequired, and willaccompany on the job learning
Experience working in healthcare preferred, but not required
EducationMinimum of high school diploma or equivalent required
Pay Range: $16.50 - $2211 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
