This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Engineer - Officer based in India.
This role focuses on delivering secure, reliable, and scalable virtual workspace solutions within a global technology environment.
You will support and enhance enterprise-level Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) platforms while improving end-user digital experiences.
The position requires strong expertise in Citrix technologies, Azure Cloud, automation, and infrastructure operations.
You will collaborate with global teams, service providers, and stakeholders to ensure operational excellence and platform stability.

Accountabilities:
The role is responsible for managing and improving enterprise virtual desktop services while ensuring high availability, security, and user satisfaction. The successful candidate will contribute to operational excellence through proactive monitoring, automation, incident management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support global Citrix XenDesktop, XenApp, Azure, and Desktop as a Service (DaaS) environments across multiple regions.
- Provide subject matter expertise across Citrix service delivery, including incident, problem, change, and service management processes.
- Monitor platform availability, capacity, and performance while identifying and addressing potential service issues proactively.
- Maintain structured operational processes aligned with enterprise security standards and service delivery expectations.
- Collaborate with managed service providers and technology vendors to improve platform performance and user experience.
- Support vulnerability management, patching activities, security remediation, and compliance initiatives.
- Participate in major incident response, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
- Drive automation and operational efficiency through scripting, monitoring improvements, and self-healing solutions.
- Support change governance activities, including change advisory processes and implementation planning.
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements and enhance digital workplace services.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate brings strong infrastructure experience, hands-on expertise with virtual desktop technologies, and the ability to operate effectively in a global enterprise environment.
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering or related technology roles.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp platforms.
- Experience managing large-scale, globally distributed infrastructure environments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Citrix technologies, and virtual desktop infrastructure concepts.
- Experience with Citrix StoreFront, Delivery Controllers (DDC), Provisioning Services (PVS), and related components.
- Familiarity with Nutanix, Microsoft Entra AD, Active Directory, Group Policy, and profile management technologies.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Ansible, Azure Automation, or similar tools.
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Dynatrace, Splunk, SCOM, or Azure Monitor.
- Understanding of security practices including vulnerability remediation, patch management, and security hardening.
- Experience working with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow and supporting structured operational processes.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with global teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
