Job Description

IMEG is hiring a Virtual Design Coordinator in New York, NY, to oversee and manage Building Information Modeling (BIM) projects across disciplines and serve as a primary point of contact for BIM-related questions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations while working within the project’s monetary budget.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Partner with the project manager to confirm model setup, configuration, and scope requirements
  • Participate in client and consultant meetings, including BIM kickoff meetings
  • Manage project folder organization, file sharing, and archival across IMEG disciplines and external partners
  • Provide team support for Virtual Design software/programs and escalate issues as needed
  • Identify training and education needs for standards and BIM/Virtual Design tools
  • Review working models and PDF deliverables for compliance with modeling and documentation standards
  • Perform model maintenance using best practices and established standards
  • Run clash detection reports, resolve clashes, and support the BIM coordination process
  • Follow established standards for modeling and drawing production to meet company quality expectations
  • Coordinate models and workflows across the design team

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Associate degree or certificate in Building Information Modeling (BIM) preferred
• 2 years of experience minimum, 3 preferred, or equivalent
• Revit experience required
• Strong Revit knowledge with emphasis on project setup and model management
• Ability to troubleshoot Revit/design software issues
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of technical plans and models preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of colleagues and clients
• Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
• High level of professionalism

Locations available: New York, NY

State of New York Salary Range: $87,000 – $105,320 Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
