Join TotalEnergies Renewables Ibérica in Madrid!

Based in Madrid, TotalEnergies Renewables Ibérica manages all Spanish and Portuguese activities related to energy trading, covering both TotalEnergies’ own assets and third-party assets. These activities include the optimisation of supply portfolios, as well as the operation of wind, solar and hydroelectric generation assets, in addition to two combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plants.

From the control centre, all generation assets are monitored in real time. These operations are supported by a comprehensive software ecosystem.

Your Role

As an IT Product Owner Assistant, reporting directly to the IT Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Development of in-house applications contributing to the enhancement of software tools supporting operational activities, mainly developed in Python within an AWS architecture You will also participate in the development of automations using Power Apps and Power Automate, as well as the creation of dashboards in Grafana
  • IT systems monitoring supervising incidents across software systems, ensuring proper resolution in coordination with partners, and contributing to the automation of UAT tests


What You Will Gain

Under the guidance of the IT Manager, you will progressively gain a solid understanding of the software systems supporting the Energy Trading business. You will develop strong knowledge of the energy sector and act as a key interface between business teams and IT/support teams

Candidate Profile

Expected Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science (preferred)

(degrees in Mathematics or related fields will also be considered)

  • A first professional experience (internship or full-time) in IT, software development or data-related roles is a plus


Technical Skills

  • Strong programming skills, with mandatory proficiency in Python
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Familiarity with AWS (Lambda, SNS, queues, etc.) is appreciated
  • Experience with Grafana, Excel and VBA is a plus
  • Interest or initial experience in Electricity Market analysis, preferably in the Spanish Electricity Market, would be highly valued
  • Strong ability to work in a team-oriented environment


Languages

  • Spanish: B2/C1 – mandatory (all daily work will be conducted in Spanish)
  • English: B2 – mandatory
  • French: B2
