As a Data Analyst – Industrial Performance & Costs, your main activities on this position are :

• Develop and deploy a standardized variable cost and Manufacturing Excellence KPI dashboard covering global lubricants supply chain sites and logistics.

• Establish a consistent methodology for variable cost breakdown, KPI calculation, and savings validation across regions.

• Deliver in-depth variable cost and performance analyses on selected priority plants or supply chain flows.

• Identify a portfolio of Manufacturing Excellence-driven cost-saving initiatives with quantified savings potential.

• Structure and monitor global action plans, ensuring alignment with Manufacturing Excellence governance.

• Support global Manufacturing Excellence reviews with executive-ready reporting and synthesis.

• Track implementation progress and validate realized savings in coordination with Finance and Operations.

Manufacturing Excellence & Variable Cost Performance Analysis.

• Analyze variable OPEX and cost per ton across global lubricants manufacturing and supply chain activities.

• Link variable cost performance to Manufacturing Excellence levers such as asset utilization, yields, losses, reliability, and standard operating practices.

• Structure and monitor key cost drivers: base oils, additives, packaging components, energy, consumables, subcontracting, yields, and operational losses.

• Perform variance analysis and structured root-cause analysis using Manufacturing Excellence problem-solving tools. Performance Indicators & Manufacturing Excellence KPIs

• Define, calculate, and maintain Manufacturing Excellence and cost performance KPIs (variable cost per ton, OEE drivers, yield, loss rates, energy intensity, logistics cost per delivery).

• Develop standardized dashboards and reporting tools leveraging Excel, Power BI, and SAP extractions.

• Ensure robustness, data integrity, and traceability in compliance with performance management and audit requirements.

• Prepare monthly and quarterly Manufacturing Excellence performance reviews for global governance bodies. Cost Saving Levers & Continuous Improvement

• Identify Manufacturing Excellence-driven value-creation and cost-saving levers across the lubricants value chain.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Manufacturing Excellence methodologies.

• Structure cost-saving action plans with quantified savings, owners, milestones, and implementation roadmaps.

• Support preparation of business cases and contribution to global Manufacturing Excellence prioritization processes.

Action Plan Deployment & Performance Review Loops

• Support deployment and follow-up of Manufacturing Excellence action plans across sites and regions.

• Track implementation progress and savings realization versus commitments.

• Maintain structured action-tracking tools in line with Manufacturing Excellence governance.

Candidate Profile

Educational background

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or Business Analytics
  • A dual background in Engineering + Business/Finance is highly valued

Experience

  • Ideally previous experience in manufacturing performance analysis, controlling, supply chain, or continuous improvement
  • Exposure to industrial environments (manufacturing, logistics, operations) strongly preferred
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing / Manufacturing Excellence methodologies is a plus

Technical skills

  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to manage and interpret complex datasets
  • Structured, rigorous, and performance-driven mindset
  • Strong synthesis and communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to senior stakeholders
  • Proven ability to conduct deep-dive analyses, root cause investigations, and performance diagnostics
  • Solid understanding of cost structures (OPEX, variable costs) and operational KPIs (OEE, yields, losses, efficiency)

Softskills

  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a continuous improvement approach
  • Ability to work cross-functionally (Operations, Finance, Supply Chain)
  • High level of autonomy, ownership, and proactivity
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain data accuracy and robustness
  • Comfortable working in an international and matrix environment


IT skills

  • Advanced Excel skills (data modeling, pivot tables, dashboards, VBA is a plus)
  • Exposure to Power BI (data visualization and dashboarding)
  • SAP knowledge appreciated (data extraction, controlling or supply chain modules)
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of programming (Python) for data analysis and automation is a strong advantage
  • Experience using AI generative tools

Languages

  • English level C1
  • French level B2
