Eramine Sudamérica SA is a subsidiary of Eramet, a French global mining and metallurgical group. It is located in the Salar Centenario Ratones, 3,800 meters above sea level, in the department of Los Andes, in Salta, Argentina.

Exploration activities started 12 years ago and at the end of 2019 our pilot plant started operating, providing a demonstration of the quality of the final lithium carbonate product, with more than 90% direct extraction efficiency.

International Corporate Volunteering (V.I.E.) is a civic service scheme established by the French government.

You may apply as a volunteer if you meet the following conditions:

• Submit your application on the Business France website (Mon V.I) between the ages of 18 and 28, and no later than the day before your 28th birthday.
• Be aged between 18 and 28 on the date of registration. The assignment must start no later than your 29th birthday. No exemptions are granted beyond this age.
• Be a French national or a national of a country within the European Economic Area (EEA).
• Be compliant with national service obligations, including the Defence and Citizenship Day.
• Enjoy your full civic rights, including the right to vote, and have a clean criminal record.
• Meet the physical fitness requirements applicable to individuals performing similar activities within the host organisation.

Depending on the destination country, specific skills may be required, such as language proficiency or professional experience.

International volunteering: how does it work?

Context

The V.I.E. assignment will be carried out within the Procurement Department of Eramine’s Supply Chain Division. The department is responsible for purchasing the goods and services required for lithium production operations.

The Eramine site began lithium production in early 2025. In this context, the Procurement Department is looking for a V.I.E. volunteer to support the ramp-up of production and strengthen cooperation with the Paris headquarters.

Location: Salta, Argentina

Expected start date: As soon as possible, subject to administrative processing times

Duration: 12 months

Occasional travel to the Centenario site, once every two months.

Main responsibilities

• Manage an indirect procurement portfolio, from sourcing through to purchase order and receipt, including personal protective equipment, marketing materials, office equipment, services, and so on.
• Implement and monitor performance indicators.
• Support the teams on CSR, carbon emissions and procurement ethics matters.

Candidate profile

• Master’s degree from an engineering school, business school or university programme, with a specialisation in procurement.
• Ideally, 2 to 5 years of procurement experience, with a solid understanding of procurement processes and a basic knowledge of contracts.
• Open-mindedness, curiosity and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• IT skills: Microsoft Office, advanced level; SAP would be an advantage.
• Languages: native or fluent Spanish and fluent English.
