YOUR ROLE

Reporting to the Container Fleet Technical Manager within the Asia Regional Office (ARO) in Singapore, you will support the management, optimization and monitoring of the container fleet across Asia.

In a dynamic and fast-paced operational environment, you will contribute to the maintenance and repair (M&R) strategy, depot performance management, and newbuild container production follow-up. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, operational coordination skills, and the ability to interact with multiple stakeholders across the region.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Support the Regional Office in ensuring efficient container fleet performance and maintenance strategy across Asia.

A. Container Fleet Management & M&R Operations

  • Manage and monitor a fleet of approximately 4,000 containers across the Asia region
  • Oversee depot activities and ensure compliance with M&R standards
  • Support the definition and implementation of maintenance and repair strategies
  • Analyze container performance and identify improvement areas

B. Audit & Performance Monitoring

  • Contribute to the definition and deployment of the M&R audit plan across Asia
  • Identify the number of depots to be audited and prioritize based on risk and performance
  • Participate in audit execution and follow-up of corrective action plans
  • Ensure continuous improvement and operational excellence across depots

C. Newbuild Production & Supplier Coordination

  • Support the coordination of new container procurement and production
  • Liaise with container manufacturers to collect and monitor building and delivery schedules
  • Ensure alignment between production timelines and operational needs
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers

D. Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Produce regular performance reports and dashboards
  • Analyze operational data to identify deviations and recommend corrective actions
  • Use Excel and Power BI to monitor KPIs and support decision-making
  • Contribute to reporting for Regional Office and Head Office

E. Continuous Improvement & Projects

  • Contribute to M&R transformation initiatives and optimization projects
  • Participate in cross-functional projects related to container fleet efficiency
  • Support the implementation of best practices across the region

F. Stakeholder Coordination & Field Exposure

  • Work closely with depots, suppliers, and internal teams across Asia
  • Travel within the region (China, Indonesia, Singapore...) as required
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination between stakeholders

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?


In accordance with the provisions of Article L122-1 of the National Service Code, only candidates aged 18 to 28 and European nationals are eligible for this mission offered as a VIE.

  • Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Logistics or related field preferred.)
  • Strong interest or experience in Maintenance & Repair (M&R), logistics, or container fleet management
  • Knowledge of the maritime industry and the technologies used on board ships
  • Good understanding (or willingness to learn) how container equipment operates
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset
  • Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of reporting tools
  • Excellent communication skills, especially with external suppliers and vendors
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging and multicultural environment
  • Strong adaptability, stress management, and problem-solving mindset
  • Proactive, curious and willing to take ownership
  • Team player with strong collaboration skills
  • Fluent in English is mandatory
