The core mission of RSTO department (Refining Supply Transport Optimization) within TEPRI is to drive and optimize the economic performance of the refinery and associated chemical businesses, while ensuring safety, reliability, compliance, and strong interfaces between operations, Joint Ventures partners, and headquarters.
RSTO covers the full value chain through five structured areas:
- Platform Optimization – valuation, targets, unit settings
- Front Office – contracts, sales & purchases
- Middle Office – price risk exposure monitoring
- Operations – transport, storage, execution of flows
- Back Office – invoicing, material balances, accounting interfaces
Together, these processes ensure compliant and efficient execution from deal to cash. The department actively supports digital improvements and process simplification, including: Development of dashboards and automated reporting, Simplification of commercial and logistics workflows, Participation in digital transformation initiatives across operations. These efforts aim to reduce manual workload and improve data reliability and are led by our Business Excellence initiative.
The mission of the VIE will be to contribute directly to these efforts by understanding the business, supporting the operations and the business excellence roadmap. As Business Excellence Analyst, you will be in charge of contract management (electricity, natural gas, rail, solvents...) as well as monitoring economic indicators. Doing so, you will acquire a deep understanding of the Supply chain from energy markets to plants operations.
Expected qualifications:
- Engineering degree or Msc in Finance, Economy, Accounting
Technical skills
- Appetite for industrial environment and the energy market
- Good skills in technico-economical analysis
- Rigorous and methodical
- Finance and commodity market knowledge
- Knowledge in oil supply and trading
- Refining and petrochemical business understanding
- Communication, analytical, leadership and team work skills
- Knowledge acquired through on-the-job training regarding U.S. business culture, processes, and efficiency practices
Computing skills:
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of PowerBI
- Knowledge of Power Automate, AI agents building
Languages:
- English: level B2
- French: level B2/C1
