YOUR ROLE

This position reports to the Deputy General Manager, based in Luanda - Angola and is responsible for identifying growth opportunities, developing new business and supporting the company’s commercial expansion.

In a fast-evolving and rapidly developing market environment, the role combines business development, market analysis and data-driven decision-making to support commercial strategy, identify key opportunities and contribute to the optimisation of shipping and logistics solutions.

WHAT ARE GOING TO DO?

Support Sales Manager business decisions by contributing to the definition and monitoring of the commercial strategy within the department


A. Market Analysis & Business Opportunities

  • Identify and assess market size, trends and growth potential in a fast-developing country
  • Map strategic opportunities across regions and industry verticals (oil & gas, infrastructure, commodities)
  • Identify major development projects (infrastructure, energy, water, electricity) and assess their impact on logistics flows


B. Studies and Reporting

  • Analyse and comment on specific studies by industry/vertical
  • Build dashboards and reports to monitor performance and business opportunities
  • Ensure accurate and fast reporting using tools such as Excel and PowerPoint
  • Provide strategic insights and reporting to General Management, Head Office (HO) and Regional Office (RO)
  • Support weekly business follow-up and sales performance tracking


C. Competitive Intelligence & Solution Improvement

  • Conduct benchmarking of competitors (especially on transit time, pricing and service offer)
  • Monitor market developments and identify competitive advantages
  • Contribute to redesign and optimisation of shipping and logistics solutions based on market studies and performance analysis


D. Business Development & Commercial Support

  • Identify new business opportunities and support commercial expansion
  • Promote Group Support Services and non-maritime products
  • Support sales teams in opportunity tracking and follow-up
  • Contribute to multiple commercial projects in a high-growth environment


E. Cross-Selling & Team Collaboration

  • Act as a cross-selling champion, driving collaboration across teams to maximise customer value
  • Work closely with sales teams to identify and leverage cross-selling opportunities
  • Foster strong team spirit and cross-functional cooperation


F. Corporate Communication & Visibility

  • Maintain and update local office news on the corporate website
  • Support brand visibility and positioning initiatives
  • Assist in organizing events and communication initiatives

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • In accordance with the provisions of Article L122-1 of the National Service Code, only candidates aged 18 to 28 and European nationals are eligible for this mission offered as a VIE.
  • Master’s degree in business administration, marketing, finance, economics or related field.

  • Strong business development and commercial mindset

  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint and data visualization tools
  • Excellent communication, organisation and presentation skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-changing environment with high adaptability

  • English and Portuguese language proficiency at professional level is essential.
