About the VALD Marketing Team

VALD’s Marketing team is a group of skilled professionals across various fields.

The team includes designers, videographers, editors and marketing specialists, but also experienced industry professionals such as physiotherapists, strength & conditioning coaches and sports scientists. We leverage their experience to create content that is relevant and engaging for our clients and potential clients, with the goal of making technology more accessible and impactful in their day-to-day practice.

We work intimately with the broader VALD business – Product Strategy, Manufacturing, Engineering, Commercial and Finance – helping to shape the client experience and the overall public perception of VALD.

Our goal is not simply to hit our numbers but to elevate VALD’s reputation as an innovator and thought leader in the health and performance industries.

About this role

This is a permanent, full-time position based at VALD's global headquarters in Brisbane, Australia.

As a Videographer/Editor, you will play a key role in shaping how VALD tells its story through video. Working as part of our global marketing team, you'll help the video team produce engaging content across product launches, educational resources, social media, paid advertising and brand campaigns.

What you will Do

Working as part of VALD’s global marketing and video team, you will collaborate closely with marketers, product teams and fellow creatives to plan, capture and deliver high-impact video content across a wide range of channels.

This is a hands-on production role where you will be working closely with the lead videographer and video team, in both shooting (camera operation and on-set production) and editing (post-production), bringing ideas to life from concept through to final delivery, in a high-turnaround and fast paced environment.

Working alongside your teammates, you will:

  • Collaborate on creative development by working with marketing managers, product teams and subject matter experts to turn creative concepts into video content.
  • Plan and produce video content by filming, directing and editing a wide range of content including product launches, educational videos, customer stories, paid social campaigns and organic social media content.
  • Support productions by being comfortable working with talent and directing when necessary, ultimately contributing to smooth and efficient shoot days.
  • Edit and refine video content including applying colour correction, sound design and motion graphics to produce polished, high-quality deliverables.
  • Create content for multiple platforms by adapting and repurposing video assets for paid advertising, social media, websites and other digital channels.
  • Collaborate across the business by partnering with marketing, product, sales and subject matter experts to ensure content is accurate, engaging and delivered on outcomes.

  • 3-5 years' professional experience in videography, video production or a related creative role.
  • A degree or relevant qualification in Film Production, Multimedia, Media Arts.
  • Proven experience producing high quality content ranging from curated to fast-turnaround organic social to longer form content. Experience in advertising creatives is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience operating camera equipment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, including basic motion graphics and animation.
  • Understanding of cinematography, lighting, audio capture and post-production workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while consistently meeting tight deadlines.
  • Storytelling and visual communication.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement, always looking for ways to streamline workflows and increase content output.
