What You'll Do: The Office of Communications is seeking a Videographer to plan, develop, & produce audio/visual content for ODH programs, senior leadership, or external marketing plans (e.g., training videos, informational videos, event content, social media, marketing campaigns) This position will:

36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in operation &/or maintenance of video production equipment (e.g., frame synchronizer; video switcher; digital video effects generator; video distribution amplifier; graphics/character generator computer; edit controller computer; stereo audio mixing console; digital audio/video/graphics work station).
-Or completion of associate core program in graphic communication technology or multimedia production technology AND 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in operation &/or maintenance of video production equipment (e.g., frame synchronizer; video switcher; digital video effects generator; video distribution amplifier; media 100 system; graphics/character generator computer; edit controller computer; stereo audio mixing console; digital audio/video/graphics work station).
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in communications with emphasis on electronic media, video production, cinematography or visual communication.
-Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
Applications of those who meet the minimum qualifications will be further evaluated against the following criteria:
Undergraduate or advanced degree in Film, Media Production, Mass Communications or related field
Experience with camera operation (e.g., Digital Single-Lens Reflex [DSLR] camera, camcorders, cinema cameras)
Experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition)
Experience with motion graphics
Experience creating social media content
Experience with drone operation

ALL ANSWERS TO THE SUPPLEMENTAL QUESTIONS MUST BE SUPPORTED BY THE WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION PROVIDED ON YOUR CIVIL SERVICE APPLICATION. Unless required by legislation, the selected candidate will begin at Pay Grade 32, Step 1 of the union (OCSEA) Pay Range Schedule ($30.55 per hour), with an opportunity for pay increase after six months ($31.88 per hour) of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.

EDUCATIONAL TRANSCRIPT REQUIREMENTS:
Official educational transcripts are required for all post-high school educational accomplishments, coursework or degrees claimed on the application. Applicants will be required to submit an official transcript prior to receiving a formal offer of employment. Failure to provide transcripts within 5 working days of being requested will cause the applicant to be eliminated from further consideration.
Please note that a transcript is considered "official" only if it is an original copy from the educational institution and includes an institutional watermark, ink stamp or embossed stamp. Transcripts printed from the institution's website will not be accepted. ODH reserves the right to assess the academic credibility of an educational entity's award of a putative degree.
