The Pritzker Administration is seeking a videographer who will be responsible for producing high-quality video content to support the Governor’s communications and digital strategy. This role manages all phases of video production, including pre-production planning, on-location filming, and post-production editing. The Videographer will collaborate closely with the digital and communications team to create compelling visual content to support communications and digital goals. This role will involve a large amount of travel.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Report to Deputy Chief of Staff for Digital Media
  • Plan, shoot, and produce high-quality video content to support the Governor of Illinois’ communications and digital strategy
  • Capture dynamic video footage of events, speeches, interviews, and official engagements for use across social media and digital platforms
  • Operate professional video cameras, audio equipment, stabilization tools, and related production gear
  • Edit video content, including cutting, color correction, sound mixing, captioning, and formatting for multiple platforms
  • Deliver polished video assets on tight deadlines, including same-day or rapid-turnaround content when required
  • Other tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in video production, including shooting, lighting, and post-production editing
  • Proficiency in operating professional video cameras, audio equipment, and stabilization tools
  • Strong understanding of lighting techniques for a variety of shooting environments
  • Experience capturing high-quality audio in live, controlled, and on-location settings
  • Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or similar)
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and irregular hours as required
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively
  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Communications, Media Production, or equivalent professional experience preferred
