We are looking for an experienced “Video Services & CDN Engineer” to support, operate, and continuously improve large-scale OTT video platforms and CDN infrastructure. This role is primarily hands-on, focused on system reliability, performance, and operational excellence across end-to-end video delivery chains. You will work closely with infrastructure, product, and development teams to ensure stable, high-quality video services for regional OTT platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Video Services & OTT Platforms

  • Operate and optimize “OTT video delivery platforms” supporting large user bases.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot “CDN infrastructure” used for regional video distribution.

  • Support video streaming workflows including HLS, DASH, and HEVC or H.264 encoding, packaging, DRM

  • Assist with deployment and validation of new video features and platform updates.

Infrastructure & Systems Engineering

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux-based servers

  • Support virtualizated and cloud environments and standard system configurations.

  • Perform capacity planning and performance tuning to support traffic growth.

  • Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation, including server inventories and their configuration

Monitoring & Incident Response

  • Configure and maintain monitoring and alerting using Grafana, Prometheus, and equivalent

  • Investigate alerts, resolve incidents, and participate in on-call rotations

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of streaming applications and infrastructure issues.

  • Contribute to post-incident analysis and continuous service improvement.

Operations & Collaboration

  • Work closely with NOC, network, product, and development teams during incidents and deployments.

  • Coordinate with vendors and integrators for issue resolution and hardware replacement (RMA).

  • Follow and improve operational processes to enhance service stability and reliability.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience with OTT video platforms and CDN operations.

  • Solid understanding of streaming protocols (HLS, DASH).

  • Hands-on experience with Linux system administration

  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, …).

  • Good networking fundamentals (TCP/IP); CCNA-level knowledge is a plus.

  • Familiarity with HFC/CMTS environments is an advantage.

  • Working knowledge of SQL (MySQL, MS SQL Server).

Soft Skills

  • Experience managing server hardware and vendor escalations.

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work effectively under operational pressure.

  • Clear communication and collaboration skills.

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and reliability-focused mindset.

Education & Certifications

  • BSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

  • CCNA Routing & Switching (or equivalent knowledge) is a plus.

Languages

  • English: B2 level as minimum

  • Serbian: Native or bilingual
