The Video Production Editor will report directly into the Director, Creative Production and will be responsible for high-volume video production for our online channels (Social, web, and YouTube). This person will conceive from storyboards, shoot, look up for soundtrack on our paid platform, and video edit everything from organic beauty tutorials, influencer features, PR events and BTS, to aesthetically elevated product campaigns earning up to billions of impressions. The Video Production Editor is responsible for reviewing audio and visual footage and using computer software to organize clips into a cohesive unit. This person will perform tasks to include splitting or combining video clips, adding appropriate sounds or graphics, and watching the finished product to catch mistakes before submitting it for review. The Video Production Editor will occasionally conceive, shoot, and video edit everything.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Edit and color correct and color grade product videos for the brands, including skin retouching for video, color grading, and color correction
Edit video footage while keeping the Director’s overall vision in mind, utilizing After Effects, masking edits, and VFX as needed
Assembling raw footage and transferring or uploading to a computer
Occasionally shoot and edit model and product video content

Following a script, screenplay or outline
Inputting sound to enhance footage, which may include selecting music and sound effects.
Inputting graphics to enhance footage
Working closely with directors to present a final product that matches their vision
Produce video that will resonate with our audience and drive a high level of engagement and sharing, and adapt stylistically to optimize engagement
Participate in brainstorming sessions with the creative team
Test iterations of approved concepts and proactively resolve any issues that may arise during the production process
Demonstrate the developed idea in order to visually present the concept in an easy-to-follow manner
Responsibly manage, maintain, and source new inventory of video equipment
Inputting graphics to enhance footage, including VFX, After Effects elements, and animated text / motion graphics (infographic-style videos)
Create infographic-style videos using animated text and motion graphics to communicate ideas clearly and engagingly
Perform other duties as needed and directed by management

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in photography, video, or arts or equivalent combination of education and experience with knowledge of video editing
Expertise and knowledge of cameras, mics, lighting, sound, and other necessary equipment
Strong proficiency in After Effects and DaVinci Resolve
Proven Experience editing high-end commercial or branded content
Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and visual aesthetic
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Clean, modern, and adaptable design aesthetic
Understanding of the video ecosystem, distribution, competition, and trends
Software: Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, on a MAC platform.
Experience with shooting and editing videos for YouTube and social media
A natural-born storyteller with a flow of creative ideas to engage video viewers
Knowledge and love of beauty, fashion, and lifestyle
Ability to take and follow direction, while also having a creative eye for improvements
