We are seeking a skilled Video Management Systems (VMS) Application Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance enterprise video management systems and related integrations. This role focuses on ensuring reliable system performance, supporting operational workflows, and collaborating across engineering, infrastructure, and operations teams.
You will play a key role in incident investigation, release readiness, system validation, and stakeholder support while acting as a technical partner in the day-to-day success of the VMS environment.

What You’ll Do
Triage and investigate issues affecting the VMS environment and related services
Gather logs, reproduce issues where feasible, and document findings for escalation
Coordinate with engineering and infrastructure teams for incident resolution and root cause analysis
Support release readiness activities including checklists, smoke testing, deployment coordination, and validation
Assist with system integrations and configuration tasks within scope of access
Track bugs, tasks, and operational work in Jira or similar tools
Provide timely updates to stakeholders and technical program managers
Identify blockers, risks, and dependencies impacting service performance
Support validation of patches, configuration changes, and upgrades prior to production release
Maintain operational documentation, troubleshooting guides, and support procedures
Assist with environment readiness to ensure stable and supportable operations
Coordinate outages, maintenance windows, and planned changes
Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for VMS systems and integrations
What You Bring
5+ years of experience in the security or video management systems industry
Hands-on experience with enterprise CCTV / VMS platforms and integrations
Strong understanding of IT networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls, internet/intranet)
Experience with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and system log analysis
Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar
Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong documentation and problem-solving abilities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience supporting enterprise VMS systems
Experience with Jira and Confluence
Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with enterprise-level video management systems and integrations
Background in release readiness, smoke testing, and deployment validation
Experience in regulated or enterprise environments
Understanding of infrastructure dependencies (servers, storage, identity services, networking)
Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office tools
Travel
Up to 20% travel for certifications, testing, and system commissioning
Work Authorization
Must be authorized to work in the United States
