We are looking for a versatile and fast-paced Video Editor & Animation Artist to join our in-house creative department in Belgrade, Serbia. Working directly under the Head of Creative, you will be responsible for editing a wide variety of video formats—from high-end ad campaigns and long-form YouTube content to fast-turnaround, low-fidelity social media clips across all CAKE.com brands.

The CAKE.com In-House Creative Department operates with the agility, speed, and creative depth of an agency, while being a core team inside CAKE.com. Our department supports all projects, brand initiatives, and entities that CAKE.com is involved with.
In this role, you will execute tasks and video projects assigned by the Head of Creative. You’ll craft content across multiple brands and platforms, switching effortlessly between polished commercial ads, engaging YouTube videos, and rapid-turnaround social media assets.

What You'll Do

• Edit diverse video formats including high-end marketing ads, dedicated YouTube content, and fast-paced, low-fi social media videos (Shorts, Reels, TikToks)
• Execute fast turnarounds on time-sensitive content that is ready to be published or aired.
• Integrate basic motion graphics, typography, animated lower thirds, and visual effects to enhance storytelling.
• Maintain a strong grasp of pacing, rhythm, visual aesthetics, and sound design across different media styles.
• Collaborate with the creative team and Head of Creative to refine edits based on project goals and brand guidelines.

Must-Haves

• Based in (or able to work from) Belgrade, Serbia.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in video editing across multiple formats (YouTube, social media, commercial ads).
• High proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
• Basic knowledge of animation and motion graphics principles.
• Proven ability to deliver rapid turnarounds without compromising visual quality or narrative flow.
• Deep understanding of current content trends, platform specs, and audience behaviors across digital channels.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work in CET timezone.
• Fluent in Ex-Yu languages (Serbian, Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin).

Nice-to-Haves

• End-to-End Ownership: Ability to take a project independently from initial assembly through color, sound, motion, and final render.
• DaVinci Resolve: Working knowledge or expertise in DaVinci Resolve for advanced color correction and grading.
• Adobe Audition: Experience using Adobe Audition for audio cleanup, sound design, and voiceover mixing.
• Graphic Assets: Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for prepping graphic assets for video.
