This role is execution-heavy and rhythm-driven, ideal for someone who understands how short-form video works across modern social platforms.

You will primarily clip, edit, and package short-form videos from written content or longer-form material, turning complex topics into clear, scroll-stopping social posts. This role is best suited for someone with hands-on social media experience who knows how to edit for speed, clarity, and attention.

This is a part-time role at approximately 20 hours per week

Why You’ll Want to Join

  • You will be paid in USD (bi-monthly: every 15th and 30th)
  • Up to 14 days of Paid Time Off annually (starting Day 1, prorated)
  • Observance of Holidays per company guidelines
  • 100% remote setup so you can work wherever you’re most productive
  • Part-time scope with clear expectations and consistent output
  • Work with a growing global media brand focused on high-signal content

What You’ll Work On

Social Media Video Clipping and Editing

  • Clip and edit short-form videos for platforms such as Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
  • Turn newsletter topics, headlines, and longer content into concise social videos
  • Create clean, well-paced edits with strong hooks and fast clarity
  • Add captions, text overlays, basic motion elements, and light sound design

Platform Optimization

  • Adapt videos for platform-specific formats, dimensions, and best practices
  • Ensure videos are understandable without sound
  • Optimize pacing and structure to maximize retention and completion rates
  • Repurpose the same content efficiently across multiple platforms

Workflow and Consistency

  • Maintain a steady weekly publishing cadence within a part-time schedule
  • Manage multiple clips and edits efficiently
  • Keep files, templates, and assets organized
  • Collaborate with editorial or content leads to align visuals with messaging

What You Bring

  • 2 to 4+ years of experience editing videos for social media
  • Strong experience with clipping content for short-form platforms
  • Proficiency with tools such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or similar
  • Strong understanding of captions, pacing, and visual hierarchy
  • Experience working with repeatable formats and fast turnaround edits
  • Comfort working independently within a defined scope and timeline

Nice to Have

  • Experience editing news, educational, or commentary-style content
  • Familiarity with business, tech, or finance topics
  • Experience supporting daily or high-frequency social posting
  • Light motion graphics or template-based animation experience

How to Apply

Please include:

  1. Your updated resume
  2. A short 1 to 2 minute Loom video introducing yourself and explaining your experience with social media video editing and clipping
  3. A portfolio or reel showing short-form social video work

Only candidates who submit a Loom video will be considered.

If you enjoy clipping content, shaping short-form videos that inform quickly, and working inside a clear part-time scope with consistent output, this role offers focused creative ownership without full-time overhead.
