Job Description

The Role

We are looking for a Video Editor to support the creation, post-production, and delivery of our video content across our internal and external channels. This role directly connects with thousands of potential and current colleagues across our global business. This is an incredible opportunity for an editor who loves to build a narrative and bring different elements together to tell a meaningful story. You will develop your skills within a fast-paced environment, working across a variety of formats, lengths, and topics.

Working closely with the Lead Videographer and the wider Employer Brand team, you will bring new video concepts to life. You will help shape ideas and manage the final export, ensuring content is delivered accurately, on time, and optimised for each channel. Last year, our channels reached millions of people.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Editing multi camera long form YouTube Videos focusing on the detail in the narrative and ensuring it’s delivered as an engaging edit.

  • Editing a wide variety of videos for NEXT, including internal update videos and campaign recruitment adverts.

  • Editing bespoke content for the Life at NEXT social media channels ensures one larger video can be broken down and delivered in different formats to maximise reach and engagement.

  • Editing video content for multi-channel use, including our careers website, paid digital campaigns and On-Site media screens and displays.

  • Creating clean, consistent edits that align with brand guidelines and our campaign direction.
  • Working with the Lead Videographer at footage handover to take organised captured content and import into the editing softwares.

  • Managing captured media, ensuring footage is saved down and backed up accurately and the footage is ingested, synchronised and managed effectively within Premiere Pro and our Data drives.
  • Tracking exports and versions across multiple formats and aspect ratios making sure the final delivery is correct and ready for the channels.

  • Supporting the wider Employer Brand team by mentoring colleagues where required on editing within Premiere Pro.
  • Maintaining an organised content library and ensuring assets are clearly labelled and accessible.

  • Editing wider assets for videos including motion graphics, captions, or text overlays where required.

  • Leading on the post production of the podcast ensuring we hit our weekly schedule and our intros and edits are engaging for the viewer.

  • Manage your own edit queue feeding back to the Lead Videographer on timelines and ensuring deadlines are met.

What We’re Looking For

  • You are someone willing to learn new edit styles and take on new challenges in a fast paced environment.

  • Experience editing video content (commercial, social, YouTube or branded)

  • Confidence using Adobe Premiere Pro and in Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Skills within Adobe After effects to create motion graphics and text effects.

  • A strong understanding of aspect ratios, resolutions, and platform requirements.

  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple edits, versions, and feedback rounds while maintaining quality and turnaround times.

  • A sharp eye for detail and consistency.
  • Communication and collaboration is key, you will be working with the wider team to deliver leading Employer Brand Campaigns.
  • Experience with basic colour grading to deliver beautiful video content.

  • An interest in fashion, retail and visual storytelling.
  • A keen eye for social media and YouTube editing trends to help keep our content fresh and relevant on the channels.
  • Someone proactive, reliable, and keen to learn; the video and social media landscape evolves quickly, you need to be someone prepared to keep up.

  • Ability to manage feedback effectively, with business wide feedback rounds across edits to ensure accuracy in content you need to be someone prepared to adapt to meet the demands of the business areas.

  • Confident at working in a Mac-based environment.

Nice to Have (But Not Essential)

  • Advanced motion graphics and animation skills.
  • Familiarity with different formats captured in camera to understand the best way to process the footage.
  • Advanced knowledge in colour grading.
  • Understanding of internal and social media marketing ways of working.
  • Skills within other editing softwares (Davinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro).
