About the Role Ragan is seeking an editor and writer to serve as the Editorial Producer for our industry-leading learning platform, Ragan Training. This role will entail creating video content for communications, marketing and HR professionals, working with industry experts to create training videos and collaborating with other content creators internally and externally to drive engagement. This role requires a blend of editorial judgment, audience and understanding and business alignment. Key Responsibilities Content creation and management
Lead editorial development of all-video based training content.
Recruit and collaborate with instructors, speakers, and subject matter experts to shape compelling and educational programming.
Oversee scripting, storyboarding, interview preparation and post-production.
Utilize AI tools to enhance the learner’s experience.
Ensure training videos are engaging, practical, visually polished, and instructionally effective.
Help modernize and expand Ragan’s training offerings through innovative video formats and multimedia learning experiences.
Content Development & Storytelling
Produce executive interviews, educational explainers, conference highlights, promotional content, social clips, and thought leadership series. Identify timely topics and audience interests that translate into compelling video content.
Shape narratives that simplify complex communications and leadership topics into engaging visual stories.
Work closely with editorial, marketing, membership, and conference teams to maximize the impact and reach of video assets.
Contribute editorial to our conferences, web sites and other Ragan channels.
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in an editorial role that included video content.
Strong editorial instincts and storytelling abilities.
Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced media environment.
Outstanding writing skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience working with conference/event video production.
Proven track record of juggling multiple assignments.
Journalism or social media marketing experience a plus.
Experience working in, or covering, Communications, Marketing or HR.
Familiarity with instructional or professional development content.
Understanding of video analytics and content performance metrics.
Experience with video editing tools.
Familiarity of AI tools and platforms.
