EMPLOYER Neuberger Berman Group LLC

TITLE Vice President/Principal

LOCATION New York, NY (A hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with company policies.)

DUTIES Play a critical role in direct equity investment execution and portfolio management to oversee the full investment lifecycle. Lead deal sourcing and evaluation within the consumer, retail, franchising, and brand-driven sectors, including preliminary valuation, business model diligence, and identification of value-creation levers. Develop and audit financial models to assess valuation, capital structure, return profiles, and sensitivity cases for platform acquisitions and add-on deals. Lead and coordinate cross-functional due diligence processes. Participate in transaction structuring, term sheet, SPA, license agreement negotiation, and capital stack design for equity and debt financings. Prepare board materials and represent the firm in board meetings, capital market updates, and exit-related conversations. Contribute to capital formation and fundraising initiatives.

REQTS Must have Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in the position offered, as a Financial Analyst, or a related position. Employer will accept pre- or post-Master’s experience. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance or a related field plus seven (7) years of experience in the position offered, as a Financial Analyst, or a related position. Must possess five (5) years (or seven [7] years with a Bachelor’s) of experience with all of the following: Developing and auditing complex financial models including DCF, LBO, Sum of the Parts, Merger, and various Comparables analyses; Executing M&A transactions including due diligence, valuation, negotiation and transaction documentation; and Utilizing financial, data, and research analytical tools including Excel, PowerPoint, Capital IQ, and PitchBook. Must possess two (2) years of experience with all of the following: Structuring or analyzing licensing or intellectual property (IP)–based business models in consumer sectors; Performing analysis of brand equity and wholesale/retail unit economics in the consumer, retail, or licensed business sectors; and Conducting cross-border investment analysis or managing international deal processes involving Europe, Asia, or other global markets.

HOURS Full-Time; Mon-Fri (40 hrs/week)

SALARY $220,000 - $300,000 per year

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $220,000-$300,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, retirement, life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
