About the department:

Corporate Real Estate Services (CRES) oversees the delivery of secure, resilient, and high-performing workplace environments across UOB. Integrated Workplace Management (IWM) brings together facilities, corporate security, and enterprise services to deliver a seamless workplace experience through the integration of people, place, process, and technology.

Enterprise Services (ES) within IWM provides bank-wide shared services that support business continuity, productivity, and brand experience. These services include workplace hospitality, corporate events, mailroom and courier services, records management, asset disposal, office equipment, refreshment services, and transport support.

Job Purpose

This role provides strategic and operational leadership across Workplace Hospitality and Corporate Events, while driving integration and value creation across the broader Integrated Workplace Management (IWM) ecosystem within CRES.

The role leads both in-house and outsourced teams and manages third-party operators to deliver consistent, high-quality hospitality and event experiences that reflect UOB’s brand, service standards, and regulatory expectations. The incumbent ensures strong operational controls, financial discipline, and stakeholder engagement while driving optimisation, innovation, and sustainability in service delivery.

The role will deliver optimised utilisation of UOB-owned event spaces, deliver seamless end-to-end event and hospitality services, and lead the development of commercial and operating models that enhance cost transparency, efficiency, and user experience across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Workspace and Event Space Strategy & Governance

  • Oversee governance, planning, and optimisation of all UOB-owned High Performance Workplace (HPW) and events spaces across the enterprise
  • Establish unified policies, standards, and utilisation frameworks aligned with CRES and IWM objectives Drive data-informed decision-making on space usage, demand planning, and capacity optimisation

Cross-Functional Integration Across IWM

  • Partner with Facilities Management, Corporate Security, Enterprise Services, Projects Management, Occupancy Strategy & Solutions, Sustainability to enable integrated service delivery Align event space operations with broader workplace infrastructure and transformation initiatives
  • Serve as a central coordination point across CRES functions to deliver consistent workplace and event experiences

Corporate Hospitality & Experience Operations Management

  • Lead and oversee day-to-day operations of HPW (Headquarters / High-Performance Workplace) hospitality services delivered through both in-house teams and outsourced partners
  • Ensure service continuity, operational resilience, and consistent delivery of high-quality, responsive hospitality services across all HPW environments
  • Drive alignment of service delivery models with broader CRES and IWM operational frameworks
  • Establish and continuously enhance workplace hospitality experience standards, including service protocols, interaction frameworks, and service scripts
  • Define escalation and service recovery protocols to effectively support high-traffic, high-utilisation environment Embed a customer-centric service culture that reflects UOB’s brand and workplace experience aspirations

Stakeholder Advisory & Engagement

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders in planning and hosting events within UOB premises.
  • Provide guidance on venue suitability, event setup, cost optimisation, and service offerings.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to align event execution with organisational standards and objectives
  • Elevate stakeholder experience through structured engagement and service excellence

End-to-End Event Service Delivery

Oversee coordination of pre- to post-event integrated services, including but not limited to:

  • Facilities readiness (including hygiene)
  • Audio-visual and digital enablement
  • Building operations and security coordination
  • Food & beverage (F&B) strategy and vendor ecosystem

Ensure seamless service integration across internal teams and vendors to deliver high-quality event experiences

Commercial & P&L Model Development

  • Design and operationalise a charging framework for event space and hospitality services
  • Drive cost transparency, financial accountability, and transition towards P&L management
  • Partner with Finance and Procurement to optimise cost structures and vendor strategies

Operations, Systems & Process Excellence

  • Drive continuous improvement of operational processes, systems, and service delivery models
  • Drive adoption of technology solutions to enhance booking, tracking, and reporting capabilities
  • Contribute to broader CRES digitalisation and IWM system integration initiatives
  • Establish service standards, KPIs, and performance monitoring frameworks

Capability Building & Organisational Impact

  • Provide leadership and direction to the workplace hospitality and events team which includes both internal UOB staff as well third party service managing agent partners/ staff
  • Build capabilities, competencies, and service excellence culture within the team
  • Ensure adequate resourcing and optimal manpower deployment across operations

Governance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety regulations, and operational standards
  • Manage operational risks related to event execution, vendor performance, and facility usage across locations

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Real Estate, or related discipline.
  • 7 to 10 years of relevant experience across workplace services, corporate real estate, hospitality, or large-scale event operations.
  • Proven experience managing third-party service providers and hospitality operations in a corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in cross-functional leadership within integrated workplace or real estate environments.
  • Experience in commercial model design, cost recovery, or P&L management preferred.
  • Experience in budget management, procurement processes, and vendor governance.
    Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise operations and service integration
