Job Description

We are currently seeking a Vice President for our Valuation Advisory Services practice having a solid professional experience in finance and accounting, to manage complex assignments for our clients, including independent and strategic business valuations, financial damages analysis and lost profits determination, intangible assets valuations, purchase price allocations, impairment tests, structuring, and valuation of management incentive and equitybased compensation programmes, fairness opinions and financial modelling.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Managing valuation and financial analysis, including determining appropriate methodology, building and reviewing financial models, drafting valuation and expert reports

  • Supervising and mentoring staff on analyses, reports, and presentations

  • Identifying and communicating potential engagements to management

  • Interviewing clients, including face-to-face meetings, to gather data and information pertinent to the engagement

  • Providing insight and expertise on target industries, market and competitor information

  • Building client relationships and acting as a direct contact with current and prospective clients

Essential traits:

  • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics or an MBA from an accredited college/university

  • 5-6 years of constructing and reviewing valuation models and other financial models including: DCF/DDM, comparable company, stock option, and intangible asset valuation models.

  • Experience in participating and leading litigation support cases is a plus

  • CFA and/or CVA or similar professional designations in financial analysis, valuation, accounting financial modelling or financial forensics are a plus

  • Demonstrated leadership experience including managing and developing client relationships and mentoring and developing staff

  • Excellent knowledge of software packages including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Working knowledge of S&P Capital IQ and/or Mergermarket databases

  • Fluency in English and German, other languages are a plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that help represent diverse communities

  • Experience working with diverse teams
