THE ROLE:

The Vice President of Total Rewards is a senior strategic leader responsible for designing and leading the company’s enterprise-wide compensation, benefits, and leave programs. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this role oversees compensation strategy, pay governance, benefits optimization, leave administration, and Total Rewards analytics that support organizational growth, employee experience, and workforce retention. The Vice President of Total Rewards partners closely with Finance, Talent Acquisition, Legal, and Executive Leadership to build scalable, market-competitive Total Rewards programs that strengthen pay equity, support business performance, and enhance the overall employee value proposition.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and evolve the company’s Total Rewards strategy across compensation, benefits, leave administration, and pay governance
  • Develop and operationalize compensation philosophy, salary structures, job architecture, and market benchmarking practices
  • Conduct pay equity analyses and implement strategies that support fair, competitive, and compliant pay practices
  • Partner with Finance and leadership to model compensation investments, workforce costs, and annual compensation planning cycles
  • Oversee benefits strategy and vendor partnerships to improve employee satisfaction, utilization, and overall value of programs
  • Lead administration and optimization of leave programs including FMLA, disability, ADA accommodations, and multi-state leave compliance
  • Build dashboards and analytics that provide insight into compensation spend, benefits utilization, pay equity, retention, and program effectiveness
  • Ensure Total Rewards programs remain compliant with federal, state, and local regulations, including evolving pay transparency requirements
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on compensation strategy, workforce planning, and employee value proposition initiatives

This is a primarily remote role, requiring individuals to come into our El Segundo office 1x per quarter.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive Total Rewards experience, including senior-level ownership of compensation and benefits programs
  • Proven experience developing and implementing compensation philosophy, salary structures, and job architecture frameworks
  • Strong experience with market pricing, role benchmarking, and pay equity analysis across multiple functions and levels
  • Experience leading benefits strategy, vendor management, and employee benefits optimization initiatives
  • Experience overseeing leave administration programs in a multi-state environment
  • Strong analytical and workforce planning experience, including compensation modeling and budgeting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred
