The National Accounts Dealer Finance Team within Canadian Commercial Banking is part of BMO Financial Group and serves both public and large private corporate clients operating in the automotive and dealership industry. The team supports a portfolio of large automotive dealership consolidators, rental and leasing companies, and truck dealerships with complex financing needs. Responsibilities include marketing, managing, and monitoring large commercial loan portfolios, supporting credit requirements, and driving cross-selling opportunities across businesses such as subordinated debt, equipment leasing, derivatives, and cash management. The team evaluates financing opportunities of $100,000,000 or more on both a syndicated and bilateral basis.
The Vice President & Team Lead, Credit Structuring & Portfolio Management, Dealer Finance is a senior member of the team who reports directly to the Head of National Accounts, Dealer Finance. This individual leads a team of high-performing Directors and Associate Directors and plays a critical role in supporting the portfolio’s growth and risk management objectives.
The role requires advanced financial and credit analysis skills, strong strategic thinking, and the ability to develop bespoke financing solutions for clients. Key responsibilities include supporting client decision-making, credit structuring, and portfolio oversight, while contributing to new business development and delivering a superior client experience.
The Vice President works closely with the Managing Director and/or Head, National Accounts. The broader deal team is responsible for marketing, managing, and monitoring large commercial loan portfolios, supporting credit requirements, and facilitating cross-selling opportunities across subordinated debt, equipment leasing, derivatives, and cash management. The team assesses financing opportunities of $100,000,000 or more on both a syndicated and bilateral basis.
Analyzes credit information to support lending decisions and processes for new and existing Commercial banking loans and credit solutions in an assigned portfolio of clients. Makes credit decisions and recommendations in compliance with bank policies and procedures while maintaining an exceptional client service environment.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
