Purpose of role:

MUFG, the world’s fifth largest financial group, is seeking a talented Vice President, Supply Chain Finance Implementation Manager to join its dynamic APAC team in Singapore. What you'll do:

As Vice President, your day to day responsibilities will involve managing complex project plans from inception through go-live and beyond ensuring every detail is meticulously coordinated across multiple functions. You will act as the primary point of contact for both internal teams and external clients during implementations, facilitating technical integrations such as Host-to-Host connections between client ERPs and MUFG’s platform. Your ability to communicate clearly with both technical experts and non-technical stakeholders will be essential as you deliver training sessions, develop user-friendly documentation, and provide ongoing support post-launch.

• Own and manage comprehensive end-to-end implementation project plans for new Buyer Programmes and Supplier onboarding initiatives across multiple APAC markets.
• Coordinate cross-functional workstreams involving systems setup, user acceptance testing (UAT), go-live activities, and post-implementation reviews to ensure seamless delivery.
• Proactively identify and manage risks, dependencies, and communications with all stakeholders throughout the entire implementation lifecycle.
• Lead the configuration and setup of programmes on the Trade Payables Services (TPS) Platform, ensuring technical requirements are met efficiently.
• Facilitate Host-to-Host (H2H) integration between client ERP or treasury systems (such as SAP or Oracle) and MUFG’s platform, including technical scoping, connectivity testing, troubleshooting, and final sign-off.
• Deliver engaging training sessions to client counterparts on the creation and submission of Approved Invoice Files via the TPS Web Portal.
• Collaborate with the SCF Acquisition team to onboard suppliers effectively while ensuring completion of Know-Your-Customer (KYC) and Client Identification Procedures (CIP).
• Develop and maintain comprehensive training materials, user guides, and onboarding documentation tailored to diverse client needs across the region.
• Provide second-level technical support for operational enquiries from buyers and suppliers after go-live, partnering with internal operations and technology teams to resolve escalated issues promptly.
• Support ongoing maintenance of changes under the implementation framework while continuously improving processes based on feedback from clients and internal teams.

What you bring:

To excel in this position, you will bring substantial experience managing complex projects within financial services. Your background may include roles at banks, fintechs or large corporates where you have overseen successful onboarding initiatives involving ERP integrations or digital platform rollouts. Your communication style is considerate yet effective capable of translating technical concepts into accessible language for all stakeholders involved. In addition to your technical acumen around system integrations like H2H connectivity with SAP/Oracle platforms along with your passion for nurturing positive relationships you will be well positioned to make a meaningful impact at MUFG.

• 5–10 years’ experience in implementation management or client service roles within financial services or transaction banking environments is highly desirable.
• Demonstrable expertise in Supply Chain Finance or Payables Finance gained from working at a bank is required.
• A proven track record in client onboarding or implementation projects ideally within trade finance or transaction banking is essential for success in this position.
• Strong project management skills are necessary; holding PMP certification or an equivalent qualification would be advantageous.
• Hands on experience with Host-to-Host integration projects or ERP connectivity (including platforms such as SAP or Oracle) is strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting or troubleshooting digital platforms during critical phases of implementation is considered a significant asset.
• Exposure to APAC markets along with an understanding of regional business practices and client expectations will be highly valued in this role.
• Excellent communication abilities are required—including stakeholder engagement skills that allow you to connect with both technical audiences (IT/Operations) as well as non-technical users (clients/business partners).
• Ability to develop clear training materials tailored for diverse audiences while maintaining meticulous attention to detail throughout documentation processes is important.
• A collaborative mindset combined with empathy for client needs ensures you can build trust-based relationships that foster long-term satisfaction.
