Vice President / Senior Vice President, Structured Trade, Global Transaction Banking, Asia PacificCountry: Singapore

Within the Structured Trade team, to support Team Head in providing structured solutions to our blue-chip clients for managing their working capital needs. Oversee and co-ordinate the preparation of marketing materials as well as take the lead in commercial activities, structuring and execution. Monitor and help foster facilities utilisation of existing deals.

Work closely with corporate sales and coverage team to pitch, initiate and realise business opportunities, both within Asia Pacific as well as between regions.

Participate, along with the global team, in product development and designing/structuring tailor made solutions.

KeyResponsibilities

  • Achieve quantitative and qualitative performance objectives of the regional team, in terms of origination, execution and maintenance of clients’ activities with the bank.

  • Responsible in the whole life cycle of the deal, from the preparation of the marketing material and pitch book to the client to the deal execution including preparation of credit application, profitability measurement and negotiation in legal documentation process.

  • Follow pipelines and lead in commercial activity, including the analysis of the client working capital needs and their evolution.

  • Work with Banking & Corporate Finance team, Global Structure Trade team, Middle Office and Back Office team to ensure the smooth deal execution and coordinate with other geographies.

  • Participate in the product framework development and the necessary infrastructure support.

  • Support Global Transaction Banking (GTB) Department head initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree holder or above.

  • Minimum 8 years of work experience with an international bank (with at least 4 years in Structured Trade or Structured Commodity Finance) and/or a major law firm (within Banking & Finance).

  • Familiarity and working experience with fundamental banking and finance law, regulatory and compliance concepts and the ways they impact structuring and documentation of financing transactions.

  • Agile mindset and ability to innovatively apply prior legal knowledge towards overcoming challenges and helping remove bottlenecks in the legal documentation process.

  • Team player, self-starter with good initiative and high motivation. Willing to work under pressure.

  • Fluent spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese. Spanish or Portuguese a plus.

  • Advanced level in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint applications.

  • Detail oriented, excellent analytical and presentation skill.
