Job Description

Sinclair is building the next generation of revenue for local news, entertainment, digital , and social media.

This is not a traditional sales leadership role. We are seeking an entrepreneurial revenue leader who can identify new market opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, create innovative advertising and sponsorship solutions, and build scalable revenue streams across Sinclair’s News & Social Division.

The ideal candidate is a business builder, not a transactional seller. This person has a proven track record of creating growth where none existed before and is energized by the opportunity to shape a new business from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Drive New Revenue Growth

  • Identify, develop, and close new revenue opportunities across news, social, digital, branded content, sponsorships, events, and emerging platforms.
  • Build strategic partnerships with brands, agencies, technology companies, direct-to-consumer brands, and other growth partners.
  • Develop scalable, repeatable revenue programs that can be deployed across multiple markets and platforms.
  • Create opportunities that expand Sinclair’s value proposition beyond traditional advertising.

Lead Revenue Innovation

  • Develop new products, offerings, and monetization models that align with evolving audience, advertiser, and platform needs.
  • Partner with content, product, marketing, social, digital, and station leadership to bring innovative solutions to market.
  • Evaluate emerging opportunities in creator partnerships, commerce, audience monetization, AI, data-driven advertising, and other growth categories.
  • Translate market trends into practical, revenue-generating business opportunities.

Build and Scale the Business

  • Establish the go-to-market strategy for the News & Social Division’s growth initiatives.
  • Develop sales materials, pricing strategies, packaging, and commercialization plans.
  • Build a strong pipeline of strategic prospects and transformational revenue opportunities.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team as the business scales.
  • Create a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and measurable growth.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, media, digital advertising, sponsorships, branded content, or growth leadership.
  • Demonstrated success launching new revenue streams, products, partnerships, or business units.
  • Experience selling, structuring, and negotiating complex, high-value partnerships.
  • Strong strategic thinking with a hands-on, execution-oriented mindset.
  • Proven ability to operate in entrepreneurial, fast-changing, and highly collaborative environments.
  • Deep understanding of the media, advertising, digital, social, or technology landscape.
  • Existing relationships across brands, agencies, media companies, technology platforms, or related industries preferred.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and cross-functional leadership skills.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 12 months, this leader will:

  • Establish a clear revenue growth strategy for the News & Social Division.
  • Launch new monetization initiatives, strategic partnerships, and scalable revenue programs.
  • Build a robust pipeline of high-value revenue opportunities.
  • Deliver measurable incremental revenue beyond traditional advertising channels.
  • Help redefine how Sinclair creates value for advertisers, audiences, and local communities.

Why This Role Matters

This role is for a builder — someone who sees the future of local media as bigger than traditional advertising and wants to help shape how Sinclair creates new value across news, entertainment, social, digital, and emerging platforms.
