Help clients move global commodities with confidence

At ING, banking is never the end goal – it’s how we help people and businesses move forward. In our Commodities, Food & Agriculture (CF&A) business, that means enabling clients across the value chain to trade, grow, and adapt in a fast‑changing world. If you enjoy being close to clients, structuring solutions, and working across borders and teams, this role could be your next step.

As a Vice President, Relationship Manager in CF&A, you will originate, structure, and execute financing solutions for clients in the commodities, food, and agriculture sectors. You’ll act as the key connection between clients and ING’s internal teams, ensuring smooth execution, strong risk discipline, and long‑term client partnerships. The role is based in ING Shanghai Branch and is part of the wider CF&A North Asia franchise.

About the team

You’ll join a specialised CF&A team with deep sector expertise and a strong regional network. We work closely with product partners, risk, operations, and coverage colleagues across Asia and globally. Collaboration, ownership, and sound judgement are central to how we work – and how we grow our franchise.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and maintain senior relationships with a portfolio of CF&A clients
  • Originate, structure, and oversee the execution of commodity finance transactions
  • Partner with product specialists to increase wallet share and cross‑sell solutions
  • Act as a sector expert, working closely with Risk and internal stakeholders
  • Prepare high‑quality credit proposals, client reviews, and due diligence materials
  • Contribute to achieving CF&A North Asia’s commercial and strategic objectives

What you bring

  • 8–10 years’ experience in commodity finance or corporate banking, including client coverage
  • Strong understanding of commodities, trade finance, and credit fundamentals
  • Solid knowledge of banking products and regulatory requirements
  • A proactive, solution‑driven mindset with strong ownership
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and functions
  • Clear communication and writing skills in English and Chinese

What we offer

  • Exposure to complex, cross‑border CF&A transactions
  • A collaborative, international working environment
  • Strong emphasis on integrity, risk discipline, and client focus
  • Opportunities to grow your expertise within a global CF&A franchise
  • A culture that values diverse perspectives and encourages responsible initiative
