We are seeking a high-caliber professional to lead the strategic oversight, governance, and optimization of our investment portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of finance, regulatory strategy, and capital management. You will be responsible for building robust performance frameworks, investment execution and governance, and driving capital and performance efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Oversight & Analytics:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain enhanced datasets and sophisticated performance metrics.
    • Provide continuous oversight of portfolio health and performance trends to inform executive decision-making.
  • Governance & Compliance:
    • Become a subject matter expert on the internal Investment Governance Framework
    • Develop a deep, working knowledge of the evolving regulatory environment to ensure all investment activities remain compliant.
    • Establish a Performance Review Council to institutionalize portfolio monitoring and evaluation.
  • Capital & Treasury Optimization:
    • Actively engaging in funding and capital optimization efforts to improve financial performance and efficiency.
    • Optimize and maintain a comprehensive Treasury Framework tailored for both existing assets and new investment opportunities.
  • SPV & Investor Management:
    • Design and execute a standardized framework for the management of the SPV portfolio
    • Act as a central point of contact for investor relations and operational management within these structures.
  • Business Performance:
    • Provide analytical support to broader Business Performance COE, including building out a data set to aid strategic decision making.

Key Partners & Collaboration

Success in this role requires building seamless working relationships with:

  • Investment Bankers: For deal structuring and market insights.
  • Legal & Compliance: To navigate regulatory hurdles and governance standards.
  • Finance: For integrated reporting and capital allocation strategy.
  • Other Principal Investment Portfolio owners across the enterprise: for collaboration on similar issues.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Keen interest and at least 1-2 years' experience in investment oversight, capital markets, or portfolio management an asset; at least 5+ years total work experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in data modeling, performance attribution, and treasury management systems.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable governance policies.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to lead councils and influence senior stakeholders across banking, legal, and finance disciplines
