Position Overview:

The Vice President, Pricing & Packaging owns the strategy, design, and in-market performance of Mediacom's residential offer portfolio across broadband, video, mobile, phone, and home security. This leader sets rate architecture, builds the bundles and promotions that drive acquisition and retention, and governs the full price-and-package lifecycle from concept through go-to-market and in-market management. The role sits at the intersection of marketing, finance, product, and sales operations, translating competitive dynamics and margin targets into offers that grow subscribers, revenue, and lifetime value in Mediacom's distinctive smaller-market footprint.

Success in this role means a pricing and packaging portfolio that is competitive against fiber overbuilders and fixed-wireless entrants, disciplined on margin, simple for customers and frontline teams to understand, and consistently executed across every channel and market.

Position Responsibilities:

Pricing strategy & rate architecture

  • Define and own the end-to-end residential pricing strategy across internet, video, mobile, phone, and home security, aligned to Mediacom's subscriber, revenue, and margin objectives.
  • Establish and maintain the rate card and price architecture, including base rates, tiering, step-ups, rate events, add-ons, equipment and ancillary fees, and floor/ceiling guardrails.
  • Develop value-based and competitive pricing frameworks that reflect Mediacom's position as the value leader in smaller markets, and calibrate responses to fiber, telco, and fixed-wireless competition on a market-by-market basis.
  • Lead pricing decisions and offer approval process for new-product introductions, speed-tier changes, and network upgrades (e.g., multi-gig and DOCSIS-forward offers).

Packaging, bundling & offer design

  • Design the residential packaging and bundle portfolio, defining how internet, video, mobile, and home services are combined to maximize take rate, ARPU, and household value.
  • Build acquisition, upgrade, and retention offers for all Mediacom Sales Channels — including promotional pricing, contract and no-contract constructs, loyalty and win-back offers, and price-lock or persistent-pricing approaches — with clear roll-off and lifecycle economics.
  • Own the promotional calendar and offer roadmap, balancing seasonal, competitive, and channel-specific needs against margin and simplicity.
  • Rationalize and simplify the offer set to reduce complexity for customers and frontline representatives while protecting revenue.

Financial modeling, analytics & performance management

  • Build the business cases and financial models behind every offer, projecting subscriber, revenue, margin, and lifetime-value impact and defending recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Partner with Finance and FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for the residential portfolio, identifying opportunities and risks and quantifying them clearly.
  • Establish the KPIs and reporting that track offer performance — take rate, conversion, ARPU, churn, promotional roll-off, and margin — and use test-and-learn, elasticity, and A/B methods to optimize continuously.
  • Leverage advanced analytics and, where available, AI-driven tools to improve targeting, personalization, and offer efficiency.

Cross-functional leadership & go-to-market

  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Sales, Care, Retention, Billing, and IT to bring offers to market accurately and on time across all channels (digital/e-commerce, telesales, retail, care, and door-to-door).
  • Own offer configuration requirements and work with billing and order-management teams to ensure clean setup, correct proration and roll-off logic, and error-free execution.
  • Serve as the internal authority and single source of truth on pricing and packaging, translating strategy into clear methods, procedures, and enablement for frontline and channel teams.
  • Ensure all pricing, promotions, and disclosures meet regulatory and compliance requirements (including all-in/pricing-transparency obligations).

Team leadership

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing pricing and packaging organization, setting priorities and standards across strategy, offer management, and pricing operations.
  • Foster a rigorous, data-driven, customer-first culture and represent the voice of the customer throughout the offer lifecycle.

BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in pricing, packaging, product marketing, revenue management, or commercial strategy, with 5+ years leading teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership of pricing and offer strategy, ideally in telecommunications, cable, broadband, wireless, media, or another subscription/consumer-services business.
  • Deep expertise in offer design, bundling, promotional strategy, and price architecture, with a track record of measurably improving take rate, ARPU, retention, and margin.
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen: fluency in business-case modeling, price elasticity, cohort and lifetime-value analysis, and variance analysis.
  • Experience operating across the full offer lifecycle, including billing/configuration dependencies, order-flow impacts, and multi-channel go-to-market execution.
  • Proven ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across marketing, finance, product, sales, and technology.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex trade-offs into clear recommendations for executive audiences.
  • Experience in cable/broadband or wireless residential pricing, including competitive response to fiber and fixed-wireless entrants.
  • Familiarity with smaller-market/rural competitive dynamics and value-oriented positioning.
  • Experience with pricing and analytics tooling, experimentation platforms, and AI/advanced-analytics-driven personalization.
  • Knowledge of telecom pricing-transparency and consumer-disclosure regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
