Job Description

Main Responsibilities

  • Setup of operational controls and prepare procedure manual (for general &/or product operations) in coordination with local Compliance, local Finance and Operations in HK / AP region (Financing and Global Markets Operations).
  • Proactively work with relevant stakeholders of projects for the set-up of Taiwan branch, including to define regulatory operational reporting requirement.
  • Perform & oversee the daily branch operations (including but not limited to accounts opening, inward and outward payments , loans & deposits, support treasury activities and settlement, etc.)
  • Prepare and ensure timely submission of all regulatory operational reports.
  • Supervise and manage overall operations and support within Taipei Branch to ensure daily routines to be in full compliance with Group and business functions polices and procedure and local regulatory requirement
  • Control daily the KRI by ensuring proper escalation level and quality of comments in the tools
  • Ensure a zero delay on all internal and external audit as long as any regulatory requirement
  • Improve efficiency of the team by doing regular sit in with minutes and adjusting the documents in place to tracks unitary time of every process and create synergies between her/his teams
  • Arrange and monitor timely settlements with clients, Bank & FI counterparties & custodian banks.
  • Report and monitor the capacity management of the teams and raise early warning to her/his management
  • Propose and deliver efficiency gains by streamlining or automating processing
  • Create strong and active partnerships with front office and support functions (within Taiwan and across platform) to ensure aligned set-up and consistent delivery of most appropriate level of service
  • Developing the branch operation strategy to align with business direction and execution.
  • Responsible to initiate, update, and maintain Operational Procedures of responsible functions in compliance with the change of internal policies &/or local regulatory requirements, with quality of operational execution.
  • Develop and implement properly effective risk control with complying with local laws & regulations, and group policies and maintain maximum cost effectiveness of operation services. Monitor branch operation risk as ORM partner

Required Skills:

  • University degree
  • Solid banking working experience and focus on Treasury Operations.
  • Good knowledge and experience in handling regulatory reporting, procedures for Operations is essential.
  • Experience in setting up operations functions or contributed to the opening of a foreign bank branch would be a plus
  • Experience in a managerial role & demonstrate leadership and influencing skills.
  • Strong spoken and written English.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including strong PowerPoint skills.
  • Good command of Taiwan banking regulatory requirements.

O projeto ATLAS teve o seu início em março de 2017 com o arranque da sua operação no Porto e contratação de primeiros recursos humanos altamente qualificados. As novas instalações foram formalmente inauguradas a 07/03/2018.
