We are a dynamic and growing commercial construction company in the GTA, specializing in high-quality construction projects across various sectors. With a commitment to excellence, innovation, and delivering outstanding results, we are seeking an experienced VP of Operations to drive our business operations, enhance project management, and lead the company’s growth strategy.




As the VP of Operations, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day business operations, ensuring the successful execution of construction projects, and driving the company’s strategic growth initiatives. You will lead cross-functional teams, optimize operational processes, and work closely with senior leadership to meet business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of business operations, including project management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Lead and mentor project teams to ensure successful project delivery, meeting quality, timeline, and budgetary requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategies for operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to define and execute the company’s growth strategy, including market expansion and business development.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to support project success and business development.
  • Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to assess operational effectiveness and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Manage risk by identifying potential challenges and developing proactive solutions.
  • Lead recruitment, development, and retention of top talent within the operations and project management teams.
  • Oversee financial performance, including cost control, cash flow management, and profitability tracking.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a senior operations role within the construction industry, preferably commercial construction.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
  • Strategic mindset with a track record of driving business growth and operational improvements.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong understanding of financial and operational metrics in a construction setting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field. MBA or equivalent is a plus.
