Compensation: $145,000 - $160,000 / year

Description

The Head of Servicing Analytics is responsible for leading the analytical framework that supports the Company's servicing oversight and asset management functions. This role serves as the primary owner of servicing-related data, reporting, forecasting, and performance analytics across the Company's portfolio of business-purpose and consumer-purpose non-QM mortgage loans.

Working closely with the Vice President of Asset Management and Asset Managers, the Head of Servicing Analytics transforms servicing data received from third-party sub-servicers into actionable portfolio intelligence. The role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of servicing data; developing key performance indicators (KPIs); producing management reporting; identifying emerging portfolio trends; and building statistical models that support loss forecasting, delinquency projections, prepayment analysis, and asset-level decision making.

The ideal candidate combines deep mortgage servicing knowledge with advanced quantitative and analytical skills and has demonstrated experience managing large loan-level datasets, developing predictive models, and driving data-informed portfolio management strategies.

Responsibilities and Duties

Servicing Data Management & Governance

  • Serve as the primary owner of servicing-related data received from third-party sub-servicers.
  • Develop and maintain processes to validate, reconcile, and monitor servicing data quality.
  • Establish data governance standards, controls, and documentation to ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting platforms.
  • Partner with sub-servicers, internal technology teams, and asset management personnel to resolve data discrepancies and improve reporting quality.
  • Maintain servicing data dictionaries, definitions, and reporting methodologies.

Portfolio Analytics & Reporting

  • Design, develop, and maintain portfolio reporting packages for executive management, asset management, and investment stakeholders.
  • Create dashboards and reporting tools that monitor portfolio performance, servicing effectiveness, borrower behavior, and asset-level outcomes.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to delinquency, default, loss mitigation, foreclosure timelines, bankruptcy activity, liquidation performance, servicing responsiveness, and portfolio returns.
  • Produce regular analyses that identify trends, emerging risks, and opportunities across the portfolio.

Forecasting & Predictive Analytics

  • Develop statistical models and forecasting methodologies to project portfolio performance.
  • Analyze delinquency roll rates, cure rates, prepayment behavior, loss severities, default probabilities, and cash flow expectations.
  • Support reserve, valuation, and business planning processes through quantitative analysis and scenario modeling.
  • Perform stress testing and sensitivity analysis to evaluate portfolio performance under varying economic and market conditions.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into actionable recommendations for senior management.

Asset Management Support

  • Partner closely with Asset Managers to support loan-level decision making.
  • Provide analytical support for loss mitigation strategies, workout evaluations, foreclosure decisions, liquidation alternatives, and servicing escalations.
  • Develop tools and reporting that improve asset manager productivity and decision quality.
  • Assist in identifying loans requiring enhanced monitoring or intervention.

Servicer Oversight Analytics

  • Evaluate third-party servicer performance through quantitative measurement and reporting.
  • Develop scorecards and performance metrics to monitor servicer effectiveness, compliance with servicing standards, and operational efficiency.
  • Identify servicing trends and exceptions requiring management review.
  • Support servicing reviews, audits, and portfolio due diligence efforts.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in mortgage servicing, asset management analytics, portfolio analytics, risk analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of residential mortgage servicing, delinquency management, loss mitigation, foreclosure processes, and servicing operations.
  • Advanced analytical and statistical modeling experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working with large loan-level datasets.
  • Advanced SQL skills and proficiency with business intelligence and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong ability to communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred

  • Experience with non-QM mortgage products.
  • Experience with business-purpose lending and investor real estate loans.
  • Knowledge of consumer mortgage servicing regulations and servicing practices.
  • Experience developing predictive models, scorecards, and portfolio forecasting frameworks.
  • Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
