Type: Full-Time Onsite

The Vice President of Sales and Marketing leads all sales and marketing initiatives for this worldwide producer of power distribution systems serving the aerospace and defense industry. This executive role sets the strategic vision for business development while providing hands‑on leadership across sales execution, marketing strategy, customer engagement, and business unit performance. Reporting directly to the President, the VP plays a pivotal role in accelerating growth, strengthening market position, and expanding profitability. The position requires meaningful domestic and international travel.

The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial builder, someone who develops high‑performing teams, moves quickly from strategy to execution, and consistently delivers results. A self‑starter with exceptional leadership presence, this individual will inspire collaboration, drive accountability, and champion a culture of continuous improvement and growth.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies, including business planning, sales activities, product roadmap development and brand management while monitoring performance against goals.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective team leadership, ensuring competitive advantage in the market while supporting customer/program development and distribution agreements.
  • Lead the sales team in identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, ensuring high-quality prospects and maintaining accurate short and long-term sales forecasts while driving value pricing strategies.
  • Establish and oversee operational and financial control systems to monitor performance, identify deviations from annual plan, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Serve as the company's representative in relationships with customers, competitors, government agencies, and professional/trade societies, ensuring all activities maintain the highest ethical standards and comply with relevant regulations.
  • Drive excellence through leadership of the business units. Drive company values, thinking like an owner, and driving the team with a sense of urgency to produce industry leading results.
  • Collaborate with the President and other Vice Presidents on key business decisions to achieve company objectives while maintaining effective communication channels throughout the organization.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications

  • Expertise in sales and customer service in aerospace and defense
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field
  • Technical degree and MBA preferred but not required
  • Dedication to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Strong analytical, verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of Leach’s customers and management
  • Strategic leadership ability
  • Strong presentation Skills
  • Travel up to 25%
