Summary:
The Vice President of Rehabilitation Services provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for rehabilitation services across multiple home health, skilled nursing, post-acute, and long-term care communities. This executive leader is responsible for driving clinical excellence, operational efficiency, financial performance, and regulatory compliance for physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy programs.
The Vice President of Rehabilitation Services partners closely with executive leadership, regional operations teams, and facility Directors of Rehabilitation to ensure high-quality patient outcomes, strong growth in therapy programs, and alignment with organizational goals. This role leads regional rehabilitation operations, oversees multi-facility therapy teams, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations while supporting patient-centered care.

Qualifications
- Active and valid professional license in one of the following disciplines:
- Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state(s) of practice.
- Bachelor’s degree in therapy, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 7+ years of progressive rehabilitation leadership experience, including multi-facility or regional oversight.
- Strong knowledge of home health, long-term care, post-acute rehabilitation, and skilled nursing therapy operations.
- Proven experience managing therapy, financial performance, productivity, and operational budgets.
- Demonstrated success leading large teams and developing high-performing clinical leaders.
- Strong project management, operational strategy, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and executive leadership abilities.
- Ability to travel frequently across assigned regions.
Essential Functions:
- Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for multi-site rehabilitation services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, patient care standards, and clinical excellence.
- Drive strategic growth by scaling rehabilitation services across the post-acute continuum, including home health, SNF/LTC, and assisted living, through program expansion, operational integration, and market development initiatives.
- Oversee regional therapy operations, including physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT), speech therapy (SLP), PTA, and COTA services.
- Partner with executive leadership to drive rehabilitation program growth, operational efficiency, and innovative clinical programming.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Regional Directors of Rehabilitation and Directors of Rehabilitation (DORs) to ensure consistent operational performance and leadership development.
- Manage regional therapy budgets, labor models, and operational expenses, optimizing productivity, reimbursement performance, and financial outcomes.
- Analyze operational metrics including census trends, therapy utilization, and productivity to identify opportunities for revenue growth, efficiency, and service expansion.
- Ensure rehabilitation programs maintain full compliance with federal, state, and regulatory requirements for long-term care and post-acute services.
- Promote clinical best practices, quality assurance initiatives, and patient satisfaction, ensuring strong patient outcomes and documentation compliance.
- Direct recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention strategies for regional therapy leadership in partnership with Human Resources.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development across therapy teams.
- Lead regional operational meetings and review performance reports to monitor key metrics, communicate corporate initiatives, and ensure operational alignment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with facility leadership, clinical teams
