The Position:

The Vice President of Manufacturing is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the Manufacturing operations across Walbec. This position reports to the Executive Vice President of Operations and manages leaders who are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Manufacturing Group.

This leadership position works closely with the EVP and Chief Operating Officer and partners with VPs of Parisi, ZTI, NEA and P&D to ensure vertical integration across all Walbec Group companies.

  • Keep safety as a core value and an integral component of the culture throughout manufacturing.
  • Lead the Manufacturing management team comprised of land resources, aggregate site management, crushing and washing operations, concrete operations, bagged lime operations, asphalt plant operations, drilling and blasting operations, and construction materials sales across Walbec.
  • Provide and monitor sales projections and financial forecasts.
  • Ensure all local/regional/state/federal regulatory safety practices and environmental requirements and standards are consistently met.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with key industry suppliers, producers, equipment dealers, and manufacturers.
  • Evaluate and provide business growth and acquisition opportunities.
  • Build and maintain successful internal relationships with key departments such as Technical Services, Safety, HR, Purchasing, IT, Legal and Finance.

Requirements:

  • 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience within the industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing multi-level teams.
  • Engineering degree (Civil, Mechanical or Structural).
  • Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and drive deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
