The Vice President of Government Affairs serves as the company’s senior representative and strategic advisor on all government relations matters, with a focus on defense, maritime, and national security policy. This executive will build and maintain trusted relationships with senior officials across the U.S. Government — including the Department of Defense, Navy, Congress, and the White House — to advance corporate priorities and strengthen the company’s role in supporting the nation’s defense and industrial base.
This position requires a leader with deep understanding of government operations, policy formulation, and legislative processes, as well as experience navigating classified and sensitive matters.
Traveling, domestic and international, may be required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and occasionally stand or walk; use hands to handle materials or equipment; reach with hands and arms; stoop and kneel; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee’s workspace is in a clean and comfortable climate-controlled setting with little to no exposure to the moving equipment, elements, extreme conditions, or risk of injury. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. When entering the shipyard, areas of the work environment may not be climate-controlled and there is exposure to moving equipment, etc.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
PAY RANGE: $195,000 - $255,000
This range represents the overall market pay rate for candidates who meet the necessary qualifications and experience requirements for this role. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, education, and performance.
