Job Description

We’re seeking a future team member for the role Vice President, Middle Office to join our Trade management team. This role is in Singapore, SG.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

• Manage a team of Middle Office operations staff responsible for Trade Management activities which include security and foreign exchange transactions on behalf of our clients who have appointed BNY as their service providers.
• Handle trade related inquiries from internal stakeholders and external clients, counterparties such as brokers, custodians and vendors.
• Also responsible for oversight of processing, trend analysis, client engagement, TPG review (SLA), process improvement, industry specialist, architecturally aware, incident management, and on shore recovery (processing).
• Manage the performance of assigned staff and sets team priorities.
• Manages day to day work of Middle Office operations team to ensure the successful execution of Middle Office operations daily workflows such as internal trade support, required daily and ad-hoc reporting across equity, fixed income and foreign exchange transactions on behalf of our clients
• Manages relationships with assigned clients and ensure all questions are answered and issues with transactions are resolved.
• Manages processes and provides oversight of team to ensure that records are maintained in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
• Supports evaluation of new clients and determine how to allocate that client against the various team members.
• Receives input from Middle Office Team Leader and responsible for the achievement of team goals and objectives, talent management and supervision of Middle Office operations staff.
• Responsible for JSIT, JUAT and UAT testing for Middle Office Operations while also handling the client engagement for each phase.
• Responsible for overall success of client testing and conversions, ensuring client satisfaction through the monitoring of project quality and efficiency as well as the direct client experience.
• Product knowledge (Bond/Fixed Income, Equity, FX, NDF and etc).
• Stock market knowledge (China bond connect and Interbank Bond Market, Hong Kong stock connect, India government bond, Korea government bond and etc).
• Digital and System/Vendor knowledge (Alteryx, Bloomberg, DTCC ALERT and CTM, Refinitiv Eikon, Tradeweb and etc).

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• 9-10 years of relevant experience in Middle Office operations with at least 1-2 years of team management experience preferred.
