Position Summary
Responsible for the planning, architecture, engineering, implementation, maintenance, and support of company-wide technology infrastructure systems including local and wide area networks, servers, workstations, laptops, telecommunications equipment, and data centers. Provide high level infrastructure design and planning for all information services projects in a complex high-technology environment with multiple sites. Lead, mentor, and grow highly skilled technical teams.
Essential Functions and Duties
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Interview, hire, and develop employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
- Develop the Network and Service Desk teams' goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with business and IS priorities, and ensure that the business and individual development objectives of each team member are aligned with corporate priorities.
- Provide leadership, administrative direction, and technical guidance to infrastructure team members to ensure that business objectives and service level requirements, including quality criteria, are met.
- Mentor and develop team members, elevating the collective skill level to help team members reach their maximum potential.
- Establish priorities, identify and obtain the right resources, and determine resource gaps and address them appropriately, to ensure the success of the operational team, department initiatives, and strategic enterprise portfolio projects.
General Responsibilities:
- Be a strategic thought leader and evangelize the company on the benefits of new emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning (ML), and other advancements.
- Develop a multi-year infrastructure services roadmap, gain support from stakeholders, secure funding, and work with the PMO to get them planned and ready for execution.
- Proactively reach out and build strong relationships with senior executives in other functions and with the corporate executive leadership team.
- Take a visionary approach to develop and deliver a strategic IT infrastructure roadmap, consult with key technology and business stakeholders, and provide recommendations to senior executives.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the technology landscape with the ability to identify trends and opportunities to elevate the IT infrastructure, introduce new efficiencies, and streamline applications and processes to improve business outcomes.
- Maintain close collaboration and partnership with peer IS teams to deliver coordinated and integrated IS solutions that will effectively contribute to the growth of the business.
- Lead the development and maintenance of the enterprise technology infrastructure architecture, in support of and coordination with the business, applications, and data architecture.
- Define high-level technical strategies, guidelines, and standards that balance short-term and long-term objectives in a practical manner and provide architectural review services for potential solutions.
- Lead and direct various enterprise infrastructure project initiatives, managing all phases of an infrastructure project, including staffing, requirements definition, design, vendor selection and management (if appropriate), installation and configuration, testing, deployment, and post-deployment support.
- Provide the senior leadership necessary to overcome obstacles, achieve success, and be a role model for the development of other employees within the organization.
- Be a visible leader who leads by example, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
- Present points of view effectively to gain support from various stakeholders.
- Working closely with the CISO, incorporate security requirements into the company's infrastructure systems.
- Meet with all levels of IS management and business partners to review existing systems' performance, capabilities, and quality to establish service levels and performance metrics, ensuring that an agreed-upon service level is provided to customers.
- Measure and report progress against key deliverables and business objectives.
- Align with the IT department’s established expense categories using the Gartner IT Budget and Expense model and capture all expenses accordingly. Actively manage the capital and expense items to meet budget expectations.
- Conduct job functions in a manner that consistently promotes a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers and supports the company's core values and basic principles. This includes but is not limited to maintaining constructive and professional relationships with peers, supervisory personnel, and internal and external customers, facilitating change and serving as a role model, and proactively meeting customers' needs in a timely fashion.
- Champion the establishment and ongoing operation of industry best practice processes, including Change, Asset, Problem, Incident, Service, and Request Management.
- Plan and execute disaster recovery for IS systems in support of enterprise business continuity requirements.
- Champion continual quality improvement consistent with the company’s core values.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or a related field of study. Advanced degree is a plus.
Required Knowledge:
- Broad understanding of networks, information systems, and telecommunication systems.
- Advanced PC knowledge including proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, and MS Project.
Required Experience
- Minimum of fifteen (15) or more years of experience in network design and computer administration related fields.
- Seven (7) or more years in senior leadership role.
- Experience in planning and preparing annual budget and presenting the budget to the Finance team. Executing to the budget and being able to do actual to plan variance analysis
- Significant prior experience managing LAN/WAN networks, SDWAN/SASE, MPLS, VoIP, advanced routing protocols, DMZ and security infrastructure.
- Experience managing security in a healthcare environment involving PHI and HIPAA compliance.
- Experience implementing Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Data Loss Prevention system (DLP), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Managed Detection and Response (MDR) and Identity Management (IDM) solutions.
- Experience with a variety of high technology integrated systems such as Microsoft Server technologies, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services. Hyperconverged Infrastructure and VMware virtual server environment.
- Experience developing and deploying a technical business continuity strategy for datacenter applications using a Public Cloud Provider (PCP).
- Develop maintain and report key performance indicators demonstrating performance of Service Desk, network and datacenter operations Maintain historical KPIs to reveal trends in capacity utilization and team performance.
- Significant prior experience having infrastructure management responsibility for a multiple office, warehouse and distribution environment. Global experience is a plus.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Web scale cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their technology components and services are strongly preferred.
- Experience with HITRUST certification is a plus.
- Office365 implementation experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements
Vision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must have the ability to view a computer screen for long periods and the ability to sit for extended periods. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled. The employee occasionally lifts up to 20 lbs. and occasionally kneels and bends. Must have the ability to travel occasionally. Working condition include normal office setting.
