VP, Human Resources – Carbohydrate Solutions - Decatur, IL


The Vice President, Human Resources, Carbohydrate Solutions serves as the senior HR leader for one of ADM's largest global businesses. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this role is responsible for shaping and executing the people strategy that enables business performance, organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and sustainable growth across the Carbohydrate Solutions organization.
As a key member of ADM's Human Resources leadership team, the Vice President will serve as a trusted advisor to business leadership, partnering closely with senior executives to align talent, culture, organizational design, and workforce capabilities with business objectives. The successful candidate will bring a demonstrated track record of leading through transformation, developing high-performing organizations, and delivering measurable business impact through people strategies.
This leader will work in close partnership with a team of Global HR professionals, ADM's Centers of Excellence, including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Total Rewards, Learning & Development, HR Technology, and Employee Relations, to deliver integrated and scalable HR solutions.
Working collaboratively with the Chief People Officer, HR leadership team, and business executives, this individual will help position Carbohydrate Solutions for continued growth while fostering an agile, inclusive, and high-performing culture that values innovation, development, and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnership

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the President, Carbohydrate Solutions, and the business leadership team on matters related to talent, organizational effectiveness, culture, workforce planning, and leadership development.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global people strategy aligned with the business's short- and long-term objectives.
  • Translate business priorities into actionable organizational and talent initiatives that drive performance and support growth.
  • Provide thought leadership on workforce trends, talent markets, and the future of work to help shape business strategy and decision-making.

Talent and Leadership

  • Lead integrated talent strategies, including succession planning, leadership development, workforce planning, talent acquisition, and retention initiatives.
  • Ensure a strong and diverse leadership pipeline through effective identification, development, and deployment of talent.

Organizational Effectiveness and Transformation

  • Lead organizational design, change management, and transformation initiatives that improve agility, effectiveness, and business performance.
  • Evaluate organizational structures, capabilities, and processes to ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance leadership effectiveness, accountability, collaboration, and innovation across the organization.
  • Support the business through periods of growth, transformation, integration, restructuring, or other significant organizational change.

Culture and Employee Experience

  • Own the people and culture agenda for Carbohydrate Solutions, fostering an inclusive, values-based, and high-performing work environment.
  • Partner with leaders to strengthen employee engagement and reinforce ADM's culture and leadership expectations.
  • Drive initiatives that promote inclusion, belonging, employee well-being, and organizational trust.

HR Leadership Excellence

  • Lead and develop a high-performing global HR team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Advance the strategic impact of the HR function by strengthening business partnership, organizational consulting capabilities, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate effectively with HR Centers of Excellence to ensure alignment and execution of enterprise-wide HR priorities.
  • Balance global consistency with regional and local market requirements in the design and implementation of HR programs and practices.

Data, Analytics, and Business Impact

  • Leverage people analytics, workforce insights, and organizational metrics to inform decisions and measure impact.
  • Utilize HR technology, AI, data, and analytics to support strategic workforce planning and business decision-making.

Professional Experience & Qualifications

  • Executive Human Resources Leadership
  • 15+ years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience, including significant experience supporting global businesses and executive leadership teams.
  • Proven success serving as a senior HR leader within a complex, matrixed, multinational organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to align people strategies with business objectives and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Organizational Transformation and Change Leadership including expertise in organizational design, organizational effectiveness, and leadership development.
  • Experience building HR capabilities that support business growth, agility, and future workforce needs.
  • Demonstrated success building strong partnerships that enable business performance and organizational success.
  • Track record of building, developing, and leading high-performing teams.
  • Passion for developing talent and strengthening leadership capability at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering inclusive, high-performing team cultures.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and influence across all levels of an organization.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering practical, business-oriented solutions.
  • Experience leveraging workforce analytics, talent insights, and organizational metrics to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field required.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master's, or equivalent) preferred.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between:

$238,000 - 370,000

Salaried Incentive Plan

The total compensation package for this position will also include annual bonus and a long-term incentive plan
