Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Proposal Management & Solutioning Excellence

  • Lead all healthcare proposal development activities, including RFIs, RFPs, solution proposals, executive presentations, pricing support, and finalist presentations.
  • Build repeatable solution frameworks and proposal assets that highlight EXL's healthcare domain expertise, AI-powered capabilities, analytics solutions, digital operations, and outcome-based value propositions.
  • Drive consistency, quality, and innovation throughout the proposal lifecycle while improving proposal turnaround times and win rates.
  • Conduct win/loss analyses and translate insights into actionable improvements for offerings, messaging, solution positioning, and pricing strategies.

AI-Powered Commercial Transformation

  • Champion the use of Generative AI, Agentic AI, automation, and digital tools to streamline proposal creation, content management, knowledge sharing, and sales support workflows.
  • Lead the implementation and optimization of proposal and sales enablement technologies, including intelligent content management, AI-assisted proposal development, CRM, and sales productivity platforms.
  • Partner with Healthcare, Data & AI, and Digital Solution teams to continuously incorporate EXL's latest AI-enabled capabilities into client-facing materials.
  • Establish AI-driven metrics and insights that improve forecasting, pipeline visibility, sales productivity, and proposal effectiveness.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead and develop a diverse team of solution consultants, bid managers, proposal managers, proposal writers, graphic designers, content specialists, business development analysts, and sales enablement professionals.
  • Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity.
  • Develop talent strategies, succession planning, and capability-building programs that strengthen the organization's commercial effectiveness.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a strategic connector between Growth, Operations, Product, Delivery, Marketing, Finance, Digital, Analytics, and AI organizations.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop compelling, data-driven solutions that solve complex healthcare challenges.
  • Support strategic pursuits, executive client engagements, analyst interactions, industry events, and key growth initiatives.

Experience Needed for Success

Healthcare & Industry Expertise

  • Deep knowledge of healthcare payer, provider, PBM, and healthcare services markets.
  • Strong understanding of one or more of the following:

Commercial & Sales Excellence

  • Proven success leading enterprise proposal management, presales, solutioning, or sales enablement organizations.
  • Significant experience supporting large, complex healthcare pursuits and multi-million-dollar transformation opportunities.
  • Demonstrated expertise across opportunity qualification, solution design, commercial modeling, proposal development, executive presentations, and deal strategy.

AI, Data & Digital Transformation

  • Experience leveraging Generative AI, automation, analytics, and digital technologies to improve commercial effectiveness and business outcomes.
  • Understanding of AI-enabled healthcare solutions, data-driven operations, predictive analytics, intelligent automation, and digital transformation strategies.
  • Experience introducing and scaling sales and proposal technologies that improve productivity, knowledge management, and win rates.

Leadership & Influence

  • Proven experience leading large, geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders across Sales, Operations, Product, Technology, and Executive leadership teams.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.

Technical & Tool Proficiency

  • Experience with CRM and sales enablement technologies such as Salesforce, HighSpot, RFPIO, Responsive, HubSpot, Copilot, and other AI-enabled productivity platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Microsoft Copilot.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Technology, or a related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of healthcare industry experience spanning healthcare services, operations, consulting, sales, solutioning, or commercial leadership.
  • 10+ years leading proposal management, presales, sales enablement, solution consulting, or commercial support organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting healthcare payers, providers, PBMs, and healthcare technology organizations.
  • Proven track record of driving growth through innovative commercial strategies, AI-enabled capabilities, and differentiated healthcare solutions.

They understand how to translate complex client challenges into compelling, outcome-based solutions while leveraging technology and innovation to improve commercial effectiveness and accelerate revenue growth.

Salary Range: $167,000 - $239,000

The posted base salary range is the hiring base salary range for this role. Final offers are based on several factors, including: the candidate's skills and experience, internal pay equity, work location, market conditions for the role, and the specific scope and responsibilities of the position.
