Job Description

The Corporate Responsibly (CR) Division is responsible for the development and implementation of the firm's CR agenda by crafting goals, policies and initiatives that align with the support the firm's business strategies, reflect our values, and support the communities where we do business. CR includes Global Philanthropy (GP) , Public Engagement, Global Government Relations, the PolicyCenter, the JPMorganChase Institute, and Sustainable Finance. As a Vice President in Global Philanthropy, you will lead the strategy, funding, and partnerships management for The Fellowship Initiative, a youth development program that increases economic mobility for young people in seven U.S. cities.

As a Vice President in Global Philanthropy, you will develop, manage, and execute philanthropic strategies that drive meaningful impact and sustainable change. You will lead a grant portfolio to support The Fellowship Initiative and cultivate a thriving community of over 800 mentors and partners. You will use evidence and learning to advance systems change and inclusive economic growth while building capacity and long-term sustainability across portfolio organizations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead a portfolio supporting The Fellowship Initiative, managing the full grant lifecycle from concept design and budgeting through approval, implementation, and reporting
  • Oversee the coordination of a mentoring community of over 800 volunteers, ensuring recruitment, matching, training, recognition, and feedback processes are in place to strengthen mentoring quality and drive continuous improvement
  • Support executive sponsorship by preparing strategic recommendations for senior leaders, contributing to business cases that connect impact to priorities, and coordinating briefings with internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to long-term sustainability by supporting efforts to engage the business and philanthropic community in funding and partnerships
  • Use data, performance metrics, and partner feedback to refine strategies, improve outcomes, and strengthen accountability
  • Produce impact reporting that includes financial and non-financial results, and share learnings through briefings and management presentations
  • Manage budgets and resources to maximize value and impact across philanthropic activities
  • Assess risk across the grant portfolio, support mitigation strategies and controls, and escalate issues as needed
  • Support partner capacity by helping assess organizational readiness, identify gaps, and advance action plans that strengthen governance, infrastructure, and operating capabilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with government, philanthropic, business, and nonprofit leaders, and represent the firm at convenings, conferences, and partnership forums
  • Monitor social, political, and economic trends that may affect strategies and philanthropic activities, and adjust approaches in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 15 years of professional experience in education, positive youth development, college persistence, and career readiness programming
  • 10 years of experience in corporate philanthropy and managing employee volunteers
  • Experience developing and executing grant portfolios and managing end-to-end philanthropic or social impact programs
  • Experience managing budgets and applying financial discipline to program planning, execution, and reporting
  • Experience advising senior leaders and influencing stakeholder decisions in a matrixed organization
  • Experience building and maintaining cross-sector partnerships with government, philanthropic, business, and nonprofit stakeholders
  • Ability to manage risk, apply appropriate controls, and escalate issues as needed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Familiarity with school settings and direct service experience supporting young people
